Meet Lottie the wonderful labrador puppy, Lottie visited vet Hannah as she was urinating a lot. An inhouse urine test showed that Lottie had a urine infection, she had a course of antibiotics which initially helped but once finished Lottie’s symptoms returned so a urine sample was sent to the laboratory, to check the specific type of bacteria present and what antibiotics are effective against these bacteria. We are glad to say that after a further course of antibiotics, Lottie is back to her normal cheeky puppy self!! Isn’t she a beautiful girl? We look forward to seeing Lottie grow up!

Blue-green algae can be toxic to dogs. ☢️

It may appear as scum or green paint on the surface of ponds or lakes, but even a small amount can cause dogs to become seriously ill. Keep them out of water that looks suspicious, and always check for warning signs when out on walks.

Tug and Ula are very special puppies 💙 As you can see they are Guide Dogs in training!! They have both visited the practice recently to complete their vaccination courses, have a health check and get their parasite treatment sorted. We feel privileged to treat a number of Guide Dogs, from puppies, to currently working dogs, to retired dogs, we see them at every stage of their lives.
The Guide Dog charity changes lives for many, did you know that every 6 minutes, someone in the UK starts to lose their sight. Having a guide dog can help many people regain independence and confidence and they rely on the generosity of kind supporters. If you would like to donate please visit :
