What better way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday than giving Skye High a proper deep clean?! 🤣✨

The salon is scrubbed, polished, sparkling and GLEAMING ready for the chokka-block busy “BER” months starting tomorrow! 🍂🐾

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🐾 SCOTTIES IN THE CITY! 🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Aaron & Jimmy took the girls, Esther & Maggie, on a little Scottish adventure today… up to Glasgow to see the amazing Scotties in the City! 🖤

All summer, these beautifully decorated giant Scottie dog sculptures have been dotted around Glasgow as part of a huge art trail, raising money and awareness for Maggie’s Centres. 🎨🐶

And of course, with two Scotties of our own, there was absolutely NO way we were missing it! 😂

This weekend is the final chance to say “farewell” to the Scotties before they head off to auction in September — and for their grand finale, all 92 OF THEM!! have been brought together in one place! 🤯😍

It was amazing getting to see so many of them together, each one completely different and designed by incredibly talented artists. From colourful and quirky to clever, beautiful and downright bonkers… there were some absolutely brilliant ones! 🎨✨

Esther & Maggie obviously had to inspect their giant cousins and pose for approximately 400 photos along the way. 📸🤣

Such a brilliant idea for an even better cause, and a lovely little adventure for our two Scottish girls. 🖤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🐾 Handsome pupster Buddy! 🐾

This gorgeous little lad is Buddy, an Irish Terrier x Collie, who came in for his very first groom with Aaron this morning! 🥹🖤

He’s only 5 months old, so we’re still waiting to see exactly what his grown-up coat decides to do… but it’s looking like he’s going to have more of a smooth-haired Collie coat, complete with a cute little wiry beard and the odd random long, wiry hair popping out on his legs 🤣🤭

A proper little mix of both breeds! 🐶✨

Buddy was an absolute superstar for his first visit and it’ll be lovely watching this handsome boy grow up and seeing how that coat develops! 🥰🐾

🐾 SELF-EMPLOYED DOG GROOMER – TABLE RENT AVAILABLE ✂️

We’re still on the lookout for an experienced self-employed dog groomer to join us at Skye High Dog Grooming, Prudhoe 🖤✨

Due to how busy the salon continues to be, long waiting lists and a lot of new enquiries, we have space available for another groomer on:

📅 Mondays
📅 Wednesdays
📅 Saturdays

You’ll be working from our large, modern and established salon on Prudhoe Front Street, alongside our existing team of independent groomers.

✨ What’s included:
• Grooming table
• Bath
• Dryers
• Towels
• Crates
• Utilities/bills included
• Busy, established salon environment
• Opportunity for us to pass on enquiries and new clients when we’re unable to accommodate them

You would be self-employed, running your own diary and business, and would need your own clippers, blades, scissors and personal grooming equipment, along with the relevant insurance.

We’re ideally looking for someone experienced and confident working independently. Having an existing client base would be great, but there is definitely opportunity to build a busy diary here.

Experience with larger breeds and/or handstripping would be a huge bonus too! 🐕✂️

This could suit someone looking for a new base for their existing business, or an experienced groomer wanting to build up their own clientele without the expense of taking on an entire premises.

Sorry to drop the C bomb before the summer holidays are even over… 😂🙈

BUT for those of you on 6-8 week grooming schedules, there are only TWO grooms left until Christmas — three at a push for 6 weekers but not sure there’s availability for 3 grooms! 😳✂️🐶

What a FANTASTIC day at the North East Dog Festival! 🐶🎉💛

The full Skye High gang had such a brilliant day out — groomers, dogs, partners and kids included! 😂🐾

So many gorgeous dogs, amazing stalls, plenty of shopping (obviously 👀😂), great entertainment and just such a lovely atmosphere all day. It was brilliant seeing so many familiar faces, customers and fellow dog lovers too! 🥰

Safe to say the dogs are absolutely shattered… and I think the humans are too! Aaron was lucky to come home with Esther as I think Nicole’s little one Ava wants to steal her 🤭😂

Huge well done to everyone involved in putting on such a fantastic event. We already can’t wait for the next one! 🐾🖤💛
