Hollie and Saucy said goodbye to each other and we said goodbye to them both the kindest of horses and best friends for years what a big decision it was for myself and Amanda.
Saucy had a few times needing help getting up out in the field but Thursday she struggled in her stable Amanda had made the bravest decision if this ever happened that she would not suffer. Saucy was 29 and had lived with us for about 16 years she was a amazing Endurance horse winning her 50mile FEI race at Euston Park getting grade 1 after Grade 1 I retired her from Endurance and Amanda bought her and looked after her with so much love.
Hollie aged 33 who I bought as a 4 year old from the Welsh Cob Sales was just the best how many people did she teach to ride, her lateral work was amazing and halt to canter she gave everything to us with great willingness how lucky was I to own you Hollie. But old age comes to all of us and we could not keep her weight on with a week of heavy rain ahead and Autumn looming quickly I knew she wouldn’t get through the winter I would like to thank Elsie for the care and love she gave Hollie right up till the very end. Saucy and Hollie you are both going to be reunited with your very good friends that you had many years with up there in horsey heaven Thankyou ❤️
