Bruno's Pet Care Please note: we are only able to take on clients in Talywain or surrounding areas. We offer dog walking, cat visits and small animal visits.

We have been running as a business since October 2015 and are very proud to say we still have many of our original clients. Whatever the weather you will find us out in the open air - come rain or shine, or even snow! We both love working with dogs and cats, and array of other furry, and some not so furry, friends. Each pet is individual and they all have different needs, so we take the time to ge

t to know each pet and they are all treated as if they were our own pets. We are licensed home boarders (Torfaen Licence AEL0039). Please note: we only home board our own clients dogs.

Monty and Raffy had a walk around the woods. We were joined by a lovely Cocker Spaniel (and his owner) for a few minutes - he and Raffy had the best time racing around the woods together. Monty joined in running for a bit but I think he overdid it as he forgets he’s double digits.

A very slow walk around Belgrave Park for Humphrey, Taran, Maple and Raffy - slow as they sniffed every inch of the edge of the park. We then went for a road walk, Humphrey led the way - he used to live in the area and there are certain roads he won’t walk (I’ve no idea why 😂).

Raffy, Buddy and Grace enjoyed a walk at Clytha. It was a slow walk as there were lots of interesting scents to explore....

Raffy and Monty had a lovely walk in the sunshine at the meadows. There’s never a dull moment with Monty, today he managed to get a dried acorn stuck in his paw whilst having a 💩 - he totally freaked out, I had to keep him steady whilst removing the acorn only to get a big lick up my face as a thank you, then he walks off so I can pick up after him 😂😂😂.

Our Story

After working for over 20 years in our chosen careers, and living in Bristol, we needed a change and started volunteering at the weekends as dog walkers for the RSPCA. As volunteers we walked dogs of all shapes and sizes and temperaments – this was a great experience and taught us a lot about dogs and their behaviour. In December 2014 Gary and I changed our lives and moved from Bristol to Talywain – a great move for us, and our adopted rescue dog (Bruno). In 2015 I (Michelle) started working as a dog walker/pet carer. In October 2015 I became a franchisee and ran my own business. In April 2016 Gary joined the business. In January 2020 we left our franchise and became independent, with the wonderful support of all of our clients.

Why the name ‘Bruno’s Pet Care’? We adopted Bruno in 2013 after he spent 3 plus years in kennels and he changed our lives forever. He has his issues (wouldn’t we all after 3 years in kennels?!) but he is a special boy and we wouldn't be where we are today without him. Whatever the weather you will find us out in the open air - come rain or shine, or even snow! We both love working with dogs and cats, and an array of other furry, and some not so furry, friends. Walking clients dogs when their owners are unable to is a great privilege, one which we both enjoy immensely. It is wonderful to be trusted with peoples pets when they go away, and each and every single one is treated as if it was our own - and spoiled just as much as our boy.
