🐾 Seasonal Allergies in Cats & Dogs: What to Watch For! 🌼

As the seasons change, many of our furry friends start feeling the effects of pollen, grasses, and other environmental allergens. Just like us, cats and dogs can struggle with itchy, uncomfortable symptoms — and springtime is a peak trigger! 🌸🐶🐱

Common signs your pet may have seasonal allergies
▪️Itchy skin, especially around the face, paws, belly, and ears
▪️Excessive licking or scratching
▪️Red or irritated skin
▪️Watery eyes or sneezing
▪️Ear infections that keep coming back

How you can help your pet feel better
▪️Wipe paws and coats after outdoor walks
▪️Keep bedding clean and vacuum regularly
▪️Monitor flare‑ups during high‑pollen days
▪️Speak with one of our vets if symptoms persist — early support can make a big difference

Seasonal allergies can be frustrating, but with the right care, your pets can stay comfortable and happy all year round. 🐾💛

❗WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGE❗

🚨 Dog Owners: Please Read — Pyometra Can Be Deadly 🚨
Pyometra is a severe, life‑threatening infection of the uterus that can affect any un-spayed female dog.
It often comes on suddenly and can escalate fast.

Key signs to watch for:
• Lethargy or unusual tiredness
• Vomiting or loss of appetite
• Excessive thirst
• Vaginal discharge (though not always present)
• Swollen abdomen

Pyometra is a medical emergency. Without urgent veterinary treatment, it can be fatal. The safest way to prevent it is by spaying your dog before it develops.

If your dog ever shows these symptoms, don’t wait — get veterinary help immediately. Early action saves lives.

🐾 Fleas & Ticks: Tiny Pests, Big Problems! 🐾

Spring and summer are prime time for fleas and ticks, and these little hitchhikers are more than just annoying — they can cause itching, skin infections, and even spread diseases to your pets. But the good news? They’re totally preventable! 🌿✨

What you should know:
▪️Fleas can jump onto your pet from the environment and multiply fast. Even one flea can turn into hundreds in just a few weeks.
▪️Ticks latch on during walks, garden time, or woodland adventures and can carry harmful infections.
▪️These pests don’t just bother pets — they can invade your home too.

How to keep your pets protected
▪️Use regular flea and tick prevention all year round
▪️Check your pets after walks, especially around ears, neck, and paws
▪️Keep bedding clean and vacuum regularly
▪️Treat all pets in the household, not just the itchy one

A protected pet is a happy pet — and a happy home! 🐶🐱💛
If you’re unsure which prevention is best for your furry friend, our team is always here to help.
