🐶 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙆?

Let’s break it down…

🇬🇧 There are an estimated 𝟭𝟯 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 in the UK – that’s more dogs than children!

🏠 But sadly, not all of them have a home. Around 100,000 dogs enter rescue centres each year – and many of those will 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙙𝙪𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙭𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮.

😟 It’s thought that up to 1 in 3 dogs may show reactive behaviours – that’s potentially over 𝟰 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙖𝙮-𝙩𝙤-𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝.

🎓 Despite this, 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝟮𝟬-𝟯𝟬% 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙤𝙜 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙆 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 – and even fewer continue it beyond the basics.

Let’s Talk Poo 💩

We’ve had a few complaints recently about people not picking up after their dogs. While we understand that the occasional accident might get missed, we kindly ask everyone to make a conscious effort to clean up after their pets.

We provide poo bags for your convenience, so there’s really no excuse. Let’s all do our part to keep the fields clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone — two-legged and four-legged alike!

Notice: Access at Spittal Hardwick Lane

Please be aware that works are currently taking place on Spittal Hardwick Lane, directly outside the main gate to the bridleway.

When leaving the site, if you see someone arriving, kindly reverse back to the waiting area at the Chill Field. This will allow them to enter without causing a blockage on the main road.
