📢 Salon Update: Pricing, Remaining Slots & Important Booking Notice
📍 No Price Increase 📍
Some of you have asked if there will be a price increase this year, and the answer is NO, as I promised last year. Even though the cost of our products keeps going up, I know things are getting tighter for everyone else too.
The next price review will be around March/April next year.
📍Remaining slots for Existing Clients
For those who don’t have regular repeat slots booked, the only remaining availability I have before the New Year is:
• Wednesday 25th November 12:00pm
🦿My leg frame/cage is due to come off anytime between now and the New Year. While I’m not entirely sure about the exact recovery time, I will be working as normal wherever possible.
📍 Missed Appointments / No-Shows 📍
It’s sad that I even have to write this, especially because almost all of you are so wonderful and I rarely ever experience a no-show.
However, after opening up a few extra slots to new clients recently, I had my first no-show in literally years.
A lady from the village with a bulldog called Beau came in specifically to book an appointment, yet failed to show up, ignored all my calls and messages, and later claimed she hadn't confirmed—despite telling me her daughter would be dropping the dog off.
We can always fill a slot if we have enough notice, but simply not turning up leaves us with zero time to offer that space to someone on the waiting list just isn’t acceptable and just so rude.
Please be considerate. If you cannot attend your appointment — especially after receiving your reminder, just let me know. I am far from perfect, and I've occasionally had to reschedule clients myself (especially with my leg at the moment!), but I would never dream of doing that to anyone especially a small business.
Times are tough, and my assistant’s and my wages depend on these appointments. Those earnings also support our local network of other small businesses—from our cleaners and window cleaners to our blade and scissor sharpeners—who are all working hard to make a living.
