🌞🐾 Warm Weather & Grooming Update 🐾🌞

With the warmer weather, your dog’s comfort and safety remain my top priority.

My salon is kept cool throughout the day, providing a comfortable environment for your pup during their grooming appointment. However, I understand that travelling in higher temperatures can be a concern.

To help keep your dog safe and comfortable on their journey to me, I recommend:

🐶 Ensuring your vehicle is well ventilated or air-conditioned.
🐶 Bringing fresh water for longer journeys.
🐶 Avoiding walks on hot pavements before or after appointments.
🐶 Allowing extra time so your pup arrives relaxed and comfortable.

I will continuously monitor weather conditions and, if temperatures become exceptionally high, I’m happy to discuss alternative appointments that may better suit you and your dog.

FOUND 10am 8th May Ackworth, Doncaster Road. *Now at Manor Kennels in Ossett*
We have found this very friendly boy running down the main road through Ackworth. Chip details are not up to date. The dog warden will be collecting him in the next half an hour. Please give us a call if this is your dog. Proof of ownership will be required.

Today was a little different in the salon 🐾✂️

I had two very enthusiastic “junior groomers” helping me out while I worked on my brother’s dogs — safe to say the pups got plenty of extra attention.

They took their roles very seriously… brushing, supervising, and making sure everything was up to standard!

Now, before anyone asks — I’m pretty sure the T&Cs say children aren’t usually allowed to work in the salon… BUT since it’s family, we’ll let this one slide… just this once… off the record 🤫

A fun day all around and some very well-groomed doggies to show for it 🐶✨

Starting your puppy’s grooming journey early makes all the difference 🐾✨

It’s not just about keeping them clean and tidy — it’s about helping them feel safe, confident, and comfortable with the whole process. From the sound of the dryer to the sensation of being brushed or having their paws handled, early exposure helps desensitise them and builds positive associations that last a lifetime.

Today, Oscar came in for his very first groom at just 14 weeks old 💛
And he absolutely smashed it!

He let me gently bath and dry him, tidy up his hygiene areas, neaten his paws, and clear around his eyes — all with such a calm and trusting attitude. This is exactly why those early visits are so important.

The earlier you start, the easier it is for your puppy to learn that grooming is nothing to worry about — just another normal (and even enjoyable!) part of life 🐶🛁

If you’ve got a young pup, don’t wait — those first experiences really do shape everything that comes after.

Willow is one of my regulars, but she’s always been a little on the nervous side 🐾💛

Even though she knows me, de-shedding can still feel a bit overwhelming for her. So today, I took it at her pace — with plenty of reassurance and a gentle paw hold throughout to help her feel safe 🫶

Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that make the biggest difference. By the end, she was much more settled (and looking beautifully de-shedded ✨)

I’ll always go the extra mile to make sure the anxious pups feel comfortable, every single visit 🐶💖
