Sometimes the resilience of our wonderful rescue animals never fails to surprise us.
Despite the sadness and harrowing experiences some of them have faced, they don't judge or hold a grudge. Somehow they forgive, forget and their love for humans remains steadfast.
Staffie X Blade had a rough start in life, during which time he rarely saw the world outside. At three-years-old he was rehomed but was by his owner's side when they sadly passed away recently.
Yet this beautiful boy continues to hold his head high and his tail even higher!
When there are people around, Blade's tail wags so much his whole body shakes.
He's a happy-go-lucky, placid boy who appreciates the small things in life. He is grateful for all the love and attention being showered on him by his carers here.
But we want so much more for this boy, who deserves a comfortable home where he can put his paws up in his senior years and be happy.
Blade loves toys and treats – a little too much! He is currently on a diet, which will need to continue in his new home.
We don’t think Blade’s had a lot of exercise in the past and he can be a bit stiff and wobbly on walks. But he still enjoys getting out and about on shorter adventures.
Blade hasn’t been around cats before or lived with dogs. He has been fine walking with his canine pals here and tends to do his own thing.
In his first home, Blade lived with children but we don't know how he was with them.
If Blade could be your special buddy, we’d love to hear from you. To find out more, visit www.woodsidesanctuary.org.uk/animals/blade/
