Maze, Tari and Freya the greyhounds visited us last week for their titre testing.
What is titre testing? Titre testing is a blood test that measures a pet’s antibody levels against core diseases (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus) to determine immunity. This is an alternative to booster vaccinations.
They were all very brave and sat like statues for their blood tests.

Mammary tumours are common in dogs and are the most common type of neoplasia in unspayed females. In dogs, approximately half of mammary tumours are malignant.
Maud came to us last week to have her mammary mass removed and was spayed at the same time. She is recovering well at home with her owners.

🐣🩺 **A MESSAGE FROM YOUR VETERINARY TEAM THIS EASTER** 🐾

We love seeing your pets… but we’d rather it wasn’t an emergency.

Every Easter, we treat avoidable poisonings and emergencies.
Here’s what we wish every pet owner knew 👇

---

🍫Chocolate: Not a Treat, a Toxin

---

🍇Hot Cross Buns: Raisins and currants

---

🌸Lilies and Daffodils: Beautiful but Deadly
Even a brush of lily pollen can lead to fatal kidney damage for cats. All parts of the daffodil are toxic to cats and dogs.

---

🍬Sugar-Free Sweets: A Silent Emergency
Xylitol acts fast: seizures and collapse.

---

🎀Foil and wrappers
They don’t just make a mess—they can cause life-threatening blockages that often require surgery.

---

✅Our Advice This Easter
• Keep all treats well out of reach
• Check ingredients before sharing food
• Skip lilies if you have cats
• Clean up wrappers immediately
• When in doubt—don’t risk it

---

📞If something seems off, contact us immediately.
Acting fast can save your pet’s life.
