Exciting news from Vet Eye Care!

Last week was a week of celebrations at our clinic and we are incredibly proud to share some wonderful milestones within our team:

🎉 Congratulations to Andrea Kashani-Carver, who has officially become a Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (FANZCVS)! This is an incredible achievement for Andrea, and we are thrilled to have her exceptional expertise on our team.

Shout-out to Achilleas, who joined our team earlier this year and as of last week started his training as an Ophthalmology Resident on his path to become a recognised specialist in veterinary ophthalmology. This is a great milestone, and we are excited to support Achilleas as he continues to grow and progress in his career.

And last but certainly not least, we are delighted to welcome Kim, our new Patient Care Assistant, she will work alongside our RVNs and help us to continue providing outstanding care to our patients.

We couldn’t be happier and we're all looking forward to what’s ahead at VEC.

We're thrilled to announce that a new Senior Clinical Veterinary Ophthalmologist joined us at Vet Eye Care earlier this month! Andrea is a core part of our ophthalmology team and her addition to the team allows us to continue to offer same day and next day referral appointments for cases referred to Vet Eye Care.

Andrea graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013. She began her career as an equine vet but after a few years her spark for ophthalmology ignited. This led to her relocation to the South Coast in 2018 at a prominent ophthalmology referral centre. Over the next seven years, she completed her veterinary ophthalmology residency and advanced surgical training. She recently relocated to Peterborough and joined our team.

Andrea loves all aspects of ophthalmology, particularly complex corneal surgeries, phacoemulsification (cataract surgery), and the surgical management of glaucoma.
