Following on from our recent post, one of the first changes we are making in clinic is 20 minute consultations for the same costs, this means better value for clients.

This follows feedback from clients and vets. Our vets want to ensure sufficient time is available to discuss your concerns and your pets health. This increased time is above the standard consultation time.

Please continue to complete your appointment surveys you receive following your appointments. This information is what is assisting us in making positive charges for you and us.

DIABETIC CASE - RUFUS 💙

Rufus has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and is doing extremely well!

After initial emergency stabilisation here at Medivet Whittlesey, Rufus has been looked after by our Branch Partner and certificate holder in Small Animal Medicine, Aaron. Rufus was started on insulin and fitted with a continuous glucose monitoring sensor and over the next 2 weeks, thousands of data points were collected. Aaron was able to remotely monitor Rufus’ blood glucose 24/7 and along with Rufus’ dedicated owners his insulin and feeding regimen were changed several times. Now, after only 2 weeks, Rufus is stable and coping well on his treatment. He’s now been discharged for 3 months when he’ll return for another continuous glucose monitoring sensor to ensure his insulin regimen is able to keep him stable long term.

Huge well done to Rufus for being such a GOOD boy and his parents for working so hard - having a diabetic pet is tough!
