Heavy Horse Supplies is a family business which is run by myself Ron Brewster and i am assisted by my fiancée Helen Carr. We have a knowledgeable team of assistants who support us in the breaking, driving and the teaching of all things heavy horse for work,show or pleasure. We are renowned for our commitment and passion shown to all our customers old and new. This has been demonstrated for over four generations and this can be evidenced by our extensive achievements over the years, winning championships the length and breadth of the country. Including most recently: -

The Driving Championship at The Royal Highland Show in 2014 - which is the first time in history this has been won by a lady driving a single cart. The Prestigious Queens Gold Cup in 2013. I (Ron) drove the British Driving Champions at Equifest in 2012. The Cawdor Cup winner in 2011. Won the National Foal Championship in three consecutive years with foals produced by our own Stallions. All the above championships have been won by a range of heavy horse breeds, including Shires, Clydesdales and Percherons. I have shown horses throughout Canada and America, including winning Males and Females at the National Clydesdale Show in Indianna. Also, had the pleasure of judging at Rockton State Fair in Canada in 2013 and over the years have judged throughout the UK and Ireland.

we are looking for a full time groom, to work and help run our busy yard.
An opportunity to work at one of the top heavy horse producers in the uk.
Multiple world champions at the world Clydesdale show 2022 and previous HOYS champion ridden producers, along with championships at national level inhand, driving and ridden.

Breeding is also a large part of our daily routine, with stallions standing at stud, and a large number of mares for breeding and foaling.

We also break to ride and drive, and teach all aspects of the heavy horse.

The job is to help with feeding, mucking and general welfare of the horses.

Based in beautiful Perthshire the position can be live in or out, may suit an overseas person looking for experience or time in Scotland.

Must be enthusiastic, reliable, good time keeper, able to work on your own or as part of a team, with attention to detail, willingness to learn all there is to know about these wonderful heavy horses.

Some experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.
