Sam Caporn - Horseman is coming back to Scotland!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤠

We are looking forward to having Sam back for another few days of learning and improving. Please visit Sam’s page for an insight of his work and what he will be covering in the sessions!

🐎12/08 - Day Clinic @ Wester Dowald
We are aiming to split this clinic into two sections, the morning will be aimed for young horses and the afternoon will be for young handlers and any type of pony/ horse. £80 pp - please message to book.

🐎12/08 - Evening Demo @ Netherton Equestrian- 7pm start.
Held at the fantastic facilities at Netherton , Sam will work with a horse with a behavioural problem and a youngster.
Strathearn Riding Club will be on hand with Teas/Coffees and home baking to raise funds for the club. Please bring your own chair!🪑

Horse power of a different kind last week! 🚜🌾Fabulous weather for making our haylage - totally stress free! 😍

The horses also enjoyed cooling down and watching with their homemade ice lollies from Jake & Rupert❤️

Last week we said the hardest goodbye to the most special pony, Boo🩵🪽

He arrived to us over 20 years ago as a feral green pony off the hills - green because when he was herded down he fell into a slurry tank and had to be pulled out!

3 year old Boo became 3 year old Ellidhs first pony and best friend enjoying lots of success and a bit of frustration too as they learned together..🙈

He then became the best schoolmaster - teaching kids in our Pony Club Centre. He knew when to look after his rider and when his rider needed to do more...!

He enjoyed his loan homes with Freya and Caroline, and then with Sophia and Jake. In his last year he had the freedom pass on the yard - making us laugh with his cheekiness!

We will miss him soo much - a great pony, friend and work colleague.

Thank you Andrew Humphries for the vet care provided through his last few months, and to Boo for being the best pony👑🩵

What a busy couple of months it has been with lovely ponies, people and great weather! ☀️

Rhu, Taz and Ivy found their fantastic new homes, we wish them all the best and looking forward to seeing them develop their new partnerships!

Eilidh has been ticking the horses over achieving some good results across the disciplines! A highlight being Jessy qualifying for Scone Horse Trials 2025 in the WH classes!

We have also had some happy horses in on their holidays, lucky to have returning guests and familiar faces! Thank you all for your support through a challenging time, looking forward to what comes next🤗

👀 for new 🏡 due to a change in circumstances

A quality mare who has bred two beautiful foals whilst being with us, and has proven to be a fantastic mother.

She could continue being a brood mare however could also be brought back into work with a kind sympathetic rider. Please note, she is being sold from the field and she is not currently in work.

Vaccinations, worming and farrier all up to date. She will weave in the stable although this reduces when she settles into a routine.

Fresco is a quality horse with fantastic breeding. He has super paces and shows scope and enthusiasm with his jumping. He will make a top class riding club horse or a competitive BS bronze league contender.

He is an absolute gentleman to have on the yard. Competent & experienced 🏡 wanted.

🦄Fresco - 17hh 15yo Warmblood by Indoctro
He has enjoyed a winter of attending Riding Club activities, arena hires and local training. He is now ready to find his next partner to go and have fun with. Experienced and competent home/rider required. A real talent of a horse who has a lot to give!

🦄Taz - 15hh 10yo Chunky Cob
A very much loved boy who has the most fantastic nature. He has mainly been used as a family horse and for hacking however he is an exciting project to bring on for showing, riding club or as a versatile all rounder!
