Our ladies are all re bedded and a couple of forage bowls in to keep them happy.

While some of these girls need to stay with us for a bit longer , we still have some ready to go to new homes. 🐔🏡

Sadly, last night we said goodnight to Big Ron. He was a very old boy and has been telling us for some time that he was almost ready to cross over.

Yesterday, he ate a lovely breakfast smothered in his favourite molasses, snuggled down in his stable, and slept alot.

As the day drew on, we could sense it was close. We popped his favourite coat on and sat with him.

Ron crossed the rainbow bridge with a full tummy and an even fuller heart.

Sleep tight, gorgeous boy. You will be so missed. Thank you for allowing us to care for you ❤️

Yesterday was Mollie's turn to be spayed. She was a fantastic mum to her babies even when so poorly herself.

Now, she can live the life she deserves. She is also now very much ready for a home to call her own. We suspect she has never really had one. She is such a sweet, loving girl and soooo beautiful.

Please request an application form if you can offer this beautiful girl a home for life. ❤️🐱🏡🤞

Oh, her eye is fine BTW...she had a piece of fluff in it from her blanket.

With so many chickens in our care and lots needing to stay with us for treatment before they can go to homes, we are really in need of chicken pellets. We are going through about 10kg a day currently 🙈

Smudge update ❤️🐱

As you can see, apart from scratch on his nose, this little guy is showing absolutely no signs of anything else. He is playing, eating, and terrorising toes and, in fact, was swinging from the curtain this morning! Tipsy keeps checking in on him. I think he is recovering much better than me!!!

Heidi has a friend!

This little spicy wasn't doing well in the cattery, so we brought them back to see if they would be happier with Heidi.

Kittens do better in 2's.

So far, so good. This little spicy nugget needs lots of socialising and patience.

This is a very difficult post to write.......

Today, we had a horrific accident. I am always so careful about where the kittens go in the house. At night, they sleep in the living room and in the day they have the run of the house. But today, I forgot to check my bedroom windows were shut.
....Smudge fell out of my bedroom window, 30 feet straight on to concrete.

We rushed him straight to our amazing vets Wigan Vets for Pets who took him in straight away.

By some absolute miracle, he has escaped with some facial soft tissue bruising and bust nose.

He is now back home playing like nothing has happened.

Yes, accidents happen, but I feel incredibly guilty. I should be their safe place, not somewhere they get hurt.

Please check your windows if you have indoor cats or kittens while the weather has been warm.

Im so sorry, and I'm so thankful he is ok!

Window covers have now been ordered.

Its been on of those days today! Been very busy but not sure I have achieved much 🤣

Good news though. The little kitten found in St Helens has been reunited with his family ❤️.

6 more hens going to new homes tomorrow ❤️
