Greenslate Farm A therapeutic, educational and wellbeing hub run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in the heart of the Billinge and Orrell community.

After a successful bid to Wigan MBC Greenslate Farm is now a Community Farm. We provide many services, such as a Care Farm for people with learning difficulties, educational visits for schools and colleges, mental wellbeing activities in nature, local regenerative food growing, and a hub to support other charities and community organisations. As a not for profit, self funded charity, we rely heav

ily on the generous fundraisers, service users and volunteers who make it all possible. The success of the scheme will rely on getting as many local people involved as possible. You will be able to take part in many different ways allowing you to fit in at whatever level of commitment suits your current lifestyle. Volunteering opportunities include working on the farm, maintenance, fundraising and assisting with community run workshops, skill swaps and community fun days. Join us in the sunshine today for Lous pop-up cafe.
Open until 2pm, serving a menu of:
Sausage butties
Sourdough with roasted pepper and whipped Feta
Sourdough with mushrooms and fried tomato
Sandwiches for children
Ice cream
And a selection of cakes and pastries
Iced coffees are also available alongside our other hot drinks and juices.

The Strawbale Cafe is open again for another Pay as you Feel Pop up this Friday.

The menu is toasted sourdough topped with hummus and roasted mushrooms or with feta and roasted veg both served with a side salad grown right here on the farm.

There will also be pork sausage or veggie sausage butties
-and a selection of sweet and savoury pastries and pancakes with a selection of toppings.

We also have iced coffee and ice creams and lollies for sale

Come and enjoy the sunshine down at the farm! 🌷🌞🍀

✨🌕🌲 Enchanted Forest Woodland Soundbath 🌲🌕✨

A truly unique outdoor soundbath experience arriving to the Wigan area… and one of the very few immersive woodland soundbath events of its kind locally 🌿🍃✨

Within the beautiful Blue Moon energies, we’ll be gathering beneath the trees for an afternoon of deep rest, grounding frequencies, nature connection and peaceful woodland atmosphere 🌲🕊️💫

Expect crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls , gongs , grounding instruments, guided meditation 🧘‍♀️, gentle breathwork and the natural sounds of the forest itself. Such as birdsong 🐦, breeze through the trees 🍃 and the calming ambience of the woodland all becoming part of the experience.

The Blue Moon is often linked to reflection, reset and new perspective ✨ making this the perfect setting to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself in nature 🌿🤍

Soundbath experiences, meditation and breathwork are increasingly being used to support nervous system regulation, helping many people feel calmer, more grounded and mentally clearer. Many attend to help reduce stress, lower overwhelm, encourage relaxation, improve sleep 😴 and create space to reconnect with mind, body and emotional wellbeing 🌙✨

🚶 Meeting at the car park at 4:15PM before we venture together into the enchanted woodland forest where the soundbath will be held 🌲✨

The walk is short and generally accessible, however please be mindful there may be some uneven natural woodland terrain
