Finally cool enough to let my boy have a little run….

Let’s all try and keep as cool as Vinnie, he came for his 2nd vaccination yesterday and slept through the whole consultation 🤣 🩵

As temperatures rise, our furry friends can struggle to keep cool and are at risk of heatstroke – which can become life-threatening very quickly.

💧 Always provide fresh water
🌳 Make sure pets have access to shade and cool areas
🚶 Walk dogs during the cooler parts of the day – early morning or evening
🚗 Never leave pets in cars, even for a few minutes
❄️ Cooling mats, damp towels and frozen treats can help keep them comfortable (but not ice cubes, this can cause there stomach to go into shock)

Watch out for signs of overheating including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting or collapse.

If you’re worried your pet may be overheating, contact your vet as soon as possible!!

This is how I de stress after a tough week. Bit of wild swimming in a lake, nothing better….
