When you look up a Lurcher’s characteristics it says they’re gentle, intelligent, calm & aloof..which is the complete opposite of Runa (some of which I’m glad about 🤣) but she’s definitely one of a kind and we love her for how affectionate, playful, loyal and crazy she is 😝
•
You’ll never see her in the shop because it’s absolute carnage when she comes in for 5 minutes, but you might see her causing chaos on the bridlepath and canal 🐾

We clearly love our Labradors in Saddleworth, and what’s not to love? They’re friendly, eager to please and always picking up a toy when they come into the shop 🥹 but they also shed like crazy! Summer is the perfect time for a de-shed to reduce all that undercoat and keep them cool in this heat 🫧 (if any golden or chocolate Labs want to join the gang, we’re not exclusive to black or fox red although it looks like that at the minute 🤣)

An Uppermill dog lover is keeping it in the family as she opens the doors of her new dog grooming salon in the village.

Professional dog groomer Bronagh McKeown, 22, launched Canalside Canines with her sister Ciara, 27, in June and welcomes four-legged friends of all sizes and breeds.

Her new business sees her follow in the footsteps of her grandma who was also a dog groomer, while her dad was a police dog handler for 30 years.
