We are an animal charity established 2001, we take in and re-home unwanted and abandoned animals. We neuter, vaccinate and microchip all the animals in our care and vet all prospective homes to ensure suitability for animal and owner. We help as many animals as we possibly can, we do not have any age restrictions and never put any healthy animal to sleep. We neuter feral colonies and we also help people on low incomes to neuter their animals.

Unfortunately, we haven't received a single donation yet for our chocolate and sweet tombola at our upcoming fair. 😢
We completely understand that times are difficult for many people right now, but even the smallest donation would make a huge difference. A single chocolate bar, bag of sweets, or any similar treat would be greatly appreciated and help us make the tombola a success.

🐾 Adoption Update – Jessie 🐾

Little Jessie came to us from one of the pound pullers we work with after completing her 7-day stray period.

When she first arrived, Jessie was understandably nervous and unsure of what was happening. Thankfully, her story reached exactly the right people. After seeing her adoption appeal, a wonderful family got in touch. They had previously shared their lives with a much-loved Patterdale, who they sadly lost due to old age, and felt ready to open their hearts and home to another dog.

We are delighted to say that Jessie is settling in brilliantly and has certainly got her paws firmly under the table!

A huge thank you to her new family for choosing adoption and for giving Jessie the loving forever home she deserves. ❤️🏡🐾

Meet Foxy, a stunning crossbreed who is still searching for the forever home she truly deserves.

Despite having so many wonderful qualities, Foxy continues to be overlooked, and we simply can't understand why. She is a loving, loyal companion with so much to offer the right family.

Medium size (around the height of a Collie).

Foxy came to us from the pound after being found as a stray and sadly never claimed. Despite everything, she has remained such a sweet, loving girl.

Since arriving with us, Foxy has been fantastic. She has met dogs both big and small and has been great with them all. She can be a little nervous/jumpy at times while she builds confidence, but she is an affectionate, happy girl who just wants to be loved.

✨ Walks beautifully on the lead
✨ Non-reactive on walks
✨ Young, active and ready for adventures

Foxy would love an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise, fun adventures, and continued guidance as she grows.

Although she enjoys other dogs out and about, Foxy would prefer to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention for herself.

🚫 No cats or small animals

It's National Volunteers Week and we want to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, compassion and dedication to Pennine Pen Animal Rescue.

From caring for animals, supporting our charity shops, helping at fundraising events, transporting donations, organising stock, serving customers and everything in between. Our volunteers make a difference every single day.

As a small local charity, we simply couldn't do what we do without you. Every animal we help, every pound we raise and every successful rehoming has volunteers behind it.

To every volunteer, past and present, thank you. You are the heart of Pennine Pen ❤️

We have been made aware of a page using our address to pick up puppies that do not exist and are asking people for money upfront to secure a puppy.

We do not have any puppies in our care

2. No rescue would ever ask for money upfront for a dog in their care.

3. The only page we use is this one, we will not advertise our animals through any other page, please report any pages/groups that are using our address or name etc to scam people
