• A foster home until something permanent is found
OR

💔 STILL WAITING… NORMA & MATILDA 💔

Well… here we are again.

Norma and Matilda thought they had found their person. Bags (metaphorically) packed, hearts ready… and then—nothing. Ghosted. No goodbye, no explanation. Just two little cats left wondering why they weren’t quite enough.

These girls came from a colony. Life didn’t start easy for them. But they’ve worked so hard, learning to trust, learning that humans can be kind. And you know what? They’ve done beautifully. They’re social, gentle, and quietly affectionate in that special way that feels earned.

They don’t ask for much:
🏡 A calm, loving home
💛 Someone patient who understands their journey
🐾 A family who means it when they say “forever”

What they don’t need… is another false start.

Norma and Matilda are bonded — they’ve been each other’s comfort through everything, and they need to stay together. They’ve come so far side by side, and they deserve a home where they’ll never be let down again.

Please — if you’re thinking about applying, make sure you’re ready. These girls deserve someone who will show up for them, for real this time.

📩 Get in touch if you can give Norma & Matilda the forever home they’ve been waiting for.

And if you can’t adopt, a share might help them find the person who finally chooses them 💛

So very true people ❤️❤️❤️

So very true people ❤️❤️❤️

Cats approach the new year with confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of personal boundaries.
They know the value of rest, comfort, and claiming sunny spots whenever possible.
Cats remind us to stay curious, communicate our needs clearly, and enjoy quiet joys.
They teach us that affection is meaningful when it is given freely and honestly.
Life does not need to be rushed to be fulfilling.
Sometimes the wisest resolution is embracing life on your own terms, just like a cat.

Miss you so very much you will be in my heart till we are all together again ❤️

I remember the weight of them against my chest, the familiar warmth, the sound of their breathing as the world outside glowed with lights and quiet joy. I didn’t know then how precious those moments were. I didn’t know how deeply I would miss the simple things—the way they curled beside me, the way they looked at me like I was home.

This year, the house feels different. The spaces they once filled are quieter. Their favorite spots remain untouched, as if time paused when they left. Love doesn’t disappear when a life ends—it changes form. It becomes memory. It becomes ache. It becomes gratitude for having loved so deeply that the absence hurts this much.

I like to believe they felt safe in my arms, that they knew they were cherished right to the very end. Somewhere beyond the Rainbow Bridge, I imagine them warm, whole, and at peace—free from pain, carrying only love forward.

Grief is the price of love, and I would pay it again without hesitation. Because loving them was one of the greatest gifts of my life. And even now, in their absence, they are still with me—in every quiet moment, every holiday light, every memory held close to the heart. 🐾❤️🎄

We know pity posts aren’t everyone’s cup of tea — but let’s be honest, neither are we… so buckle up.

We’ve been contacted by the absolute loveliest lady, Lois, who is dealing with a genuinely horrific situation not too far from us and is asking for help with, you’ve guessed it, three stinky angry boys (our ovaries are on fire right now). You all know how this goes: our treasurer works miracles to keep the books balanced, then the rescue owner swings in like Miley Cyrus on a wrecking ball and everything goes sideways.

Right now? We are drowning.

On our doorstep we have a colony that needs trapping now and here’s the brutal truth — we do not have the funds to take them all on.

We are also trying desperately to help Lois, but time is not on our side. A neighbour has already threatened to “deal with the problem” using an air rifle and an aggressive dog — and that is not an empty threat we can ignore.

So yes, we’re asking for help. Loudly. Urgently. Without apology.

Here’s how you can help right now:
• Come see us at Sutton in Ashfield Pets at Home this weekend between 10-2 — we’ll be there selling everything we can including cat Christmas stockings and lucky dip bags
• Donate to our ongoing GoFundMe https://gofund.me/0967e60a7
• Donate directly to our vets
• Enter our raffle https://mansfield-cat-rescue.sumupstore.com/product/mcr-christmas-raffle-2025

Every pound buys us time. Every share increases our reach. Every delay could cost a life.

If you’ve ever supported us, believed in us, or cheered us on — now is the moment.

Please help us get these cats to safety so they can have a comfy life like Old Lady Doris here, our hyperthyroid convalescent cat. 🐾💔
