Happy new year dog fans. Not posted for above a year - and because my last post was my last holiday with my beloved dog Dizzy, whilst we we were looking after Badger; so a scary realisation that it is serious s**t looking after other people’s dogs despite my years of experience. Too heartbroken to post since but feel so many dog friends have joined her at rainbow bridge since October 2023 they should all be remembered and I can only hope they’re organising their own doggie daycare play days!
So on the little movie are some departed friends in the past year, a few from previous and some doggies that are still very much alive carrying on in their absence.
So at the same time as Dizzy went we lost Rufus, daycare doggie rescued from the woods in Romania, he initially came for socialising but then just for fun! Luna the boxer, his housemate comes now so she gets some doggie company. Another shock was Balto the husky Balto's Legacy with Skyla
who I washed for years - originally in my van and known his human and his two predecessors since I’d started my business in 2001. Skyla is now taking over his important work who I’ve yet to meet. Then another recent blow to the daycare crew was Keo - the frenchie, well he was just a part of the furniture and apart of our family. on Jan 3rd last year I impulsively bought a baby whippet named Indie and she became Keo’s best friend at daycare😂😂😂; it was hilarious as they did not look like they should go together but they did!
Then we have the jr terriers going to rainbow bridge; little Daisy who I washed. My mum and dad’s very own Buzz a 15 year old terrorist 😂 and then more recently another little girl I’ve known since she was a whipper snapper and shared the same birthday as our Dizzy. Poppy came for her last Xmas wash and sleepover on Dec 6th and a week later she was gone. I’m so pleased she had a great time with Snoop and Indie and I got to see her. It’s also important to say that I miss the humans too.
Anyway, enjoy a few memories and raise a glass to man’s best friend tonight. ###
