Sweet Nell lost her sight last year, but that certainly hasn’t stopped her enjoying her pamper days. 💕
Grooming a blind or deaf dog is all about patience, understanding, and building trust. Every touch matters, so I always make sure they know I’m there with gentle reassurance, a calm approach, and lots of love. Dogs like Nell rely on routine, and because she knows her grooming process so well, she takes everything in her stride.
Our senior dogs deserve that little bit of extra time and care too. As they get older, they may need more breaks, gentler handling, and plenty of reassurance. Grooming isn’t just about looking beautiful, it’s about making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way.
Nell is the sweetest girl and is an absolute pleasure to groom. Her tail never stops wagging, especially when she realises treats are involved! 🦴🐾 She reminds me every time she visits that dogs don’t let life’s challenges define them, they simply adapt, trust, and continue to spread joy.
It’s always a privilege to care for our golden oldies and dogs with extra needs. They may need a little more patience, but they give back so much more in return. ❤️
