Nature is proven to help improve mood, focus, and overall wellbeing...

Take a moment or two to stop what you are doing. Step out and soak up your environment for a quick refresh of the mind and body.

What can you see, smell, feel, hear?
Notice how you feel before and after

🏇Are you taking part?!🏇

As many of you know, the BRS is home to more than 70 former racehorses and we are passionate about caring for them throughout their second career, as "teachers" here at the School, working with our young people.

Racing's Horse Welfare Board and our friends at Hartpury have opened up research to support and keep up to date with former racehorses as they progress into a life after racing.

We know lots of our supporters also have ex-racehorses, so are you taking part in the biggest census EVER?! We are.....

Feeling low can happen to us all. It can last a few hours, a few days, a few weeks or more, so reminding ourselves and each other how to help through these times is important.

Our sleep, food & drink, and movement are all things that will help us through but sometimes we need to ask for help with them, especially when we lack motivation.

Nature can help to refresh us and clear our minds. It gives an opportunity to use our senses and focus on our surroundings rather than the negative talk in our heads.

Connect with a hobby or something that you know you usually enjoy - if its too difficult ask someone to help you.

If you are struggling with feeling low, and it is not lifting after a week or two, please talk to someone, send a text, or reach out to one of the many helplines to speak to a neutral person.

👉What helps when you're feeling low?

YANA is by your side. The earlier you reach out the easier it can be to recover.

YANA is here for EVERYONE involved in agriculture or rural businesses. Whether you are a trainee, employee, manager, owner, or retired. If you need to talk we are here!

Not coping as well as usual, feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed? Talking to a neutral person can be helpful.
