Hi everyone, since the launch of Comfort First Saddle Fitting in January 2024, my prices have stayed the same.

However, due to rising costs beyond my control, unfortunately it’s become necessary to increase my fitting fee from £40 to £50 with effect from 1st April 2026.

All other charges remain the same.

If you’d like to take advantage of the current price, please book your fitting to take place on or before 31st March 2026.

Bates training day:

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a training day run by Saddlery Brands International. This covered their Wintec, Arena and Bates ranges. These amazing saddles use a combination of their
patented Cair, and performance panels. These saddles have their “Easy Change” gullet system which, when combined with the easy change riser system, provides an unprecedented level of adjustability. The precision in the adjustments that can be made to this saddle is fascinating! Using the Easy Change riser system I can make adjustments in four millimetre
increments. The best thing is that these adjustments are so easily reversible we can experiment
with what works best for the horse and rider combination in order to keep the horse comfortable
and the rider in balance with the most effective aids possible!

Another brilliant innovation is the
adjustable stirrup bars on their performance saddle ranges - it is such an great way to personalise the saddles to their riders without having to go down the route of a bespoke or made to measure saddle!

This week I had the pleasure of attending a training day with Albion Saddlemakers. We had a sneaky peak at some beautiful new designs, and also were able to observe and fit their three new trees whilst getting some hands on experience with the new Unity Series to see whether riders prefer the X or Y models - which is all to do with the anterior or posterior pelvic tilt!

Then we got to have a look at the way Albion do their precision templating, which is so interesting.

Altogether I learned a lot, and was able to bring so much new knowledge home to apply to my fittings.

Good morning and a slightly belated Happy New Year! I hope that 2025 is a healthy and successful year for you and your horse. I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all my clients following the launch of Comfort First Saddle Fitting a year ago. It has been wonderful meeting you all and your beautiful horses, and more successful than I dared to hope for. Your support, recommendations, and kind words have meant the world to me - so thank you!
