Could you provide a loving home for a rescue dog? The Channel 4 series, The Dog House is looking for couples, individuals, friends and families who are seriously considering bringing a rescue dog into their lives and are willing to share their reasons for doing so.
We’re the programme makers of the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 series, The Dog House, which is about to return for a new series. Described as one of the most heart-warming programmes on TV, we are starting the search again for people who can offer a loving home to a rescue dog and share their reasons for doing so. We wondered if you might be able to help? We would love to highlight how dogs can be fantastic for peoples mental and physical health as well as a loving companion for a pooch in need!
The series is made with Woodgreen Pets Charity who specialise in matching their rescue dogs with would-be owners. The Dog House follows this process, getting to know the rescue dogs, and also the kind-hearted people willing to open their homes and their hearts to a new four-legged friend. In previous series, we found that there were many reasons people might consider bringing a dog into their life – loneliness, a friend for people who already have a dog, extra company for a child, to encourage getting out and about, to live in the moment more, to name just a few.
We are currently searching for people who are thinking about rehoming a rescue dog, and who would be up for sharing their reasons for doing so. Through this we hope to help highlight just how extraordinary the relationship between humans and canines can be and the life changing affects it can have to both sides.
