There are no tricks here, just a massive thank you for being such a wonderful part of our rescue. As you celebrate the spookiest night of the year 🧟‍♀️ we hope you have a fantastic, safe evening filled with plenty of treats and fun 🎃
Even our dogs were in the Halloween spirit and dressed up 🐾🐾🙂🎃🧟‍♀️👻
While you enjoy the Halloween fun, could you please take a moment to think of our resident dogs 🐾🐾🤔 Many of them are still waiting for their forever homes, and we rely entirely on your kindness to keep their bowls full, their beds warm, and their tails wagging 🐾🐾👻🎃

💙🐾 **COSMO IS LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME** 🐾💙

📍 **Currently in kennels in Dover, Kent**

From surviving around a petrol station in Macedonia to experiencing life in a UK home, Cosmo has already come a long way.

This handsome 2½-year-old Labrador mix is a confident, playful and energetic boy with a big personality and plenty of enthusiasm for life. 💙

Sadly, things haven't worked out as everyone had hoped in his previous home, and Cosmo is now back in kennels while we search for a suitable new family.

Sometimes, despite the best intentions of everyone involved, a dog's individual needs and a family's circumstances aren't quite the right match.

We'd love to help Cosmo find a forever home where he can settle and enjoy the next chapter of his life.

💙 Loves playing and spending time with people

💙 Enjoys his walks and walks on a lead

💙 Has been good with other dogs

💙 Has been good with cats

💙 Confident, fun and full of character

💙 Neutered, vaccinated (including kennel cough) and tested negative for tick-borne diseases and brucellosis

🏡 **THE HOME COSMO NEEDS**

Cosmo has shown some resource guarding behaviour around food, so we're looking for an experienced dog owner or family who are confident managing resource guarding safely, using positive, reward-based approaches, and providing the patience, consistency and understanding he needs.

We know this won't be the right match for everyone, and that's absolutely fine. Our priority is finding a home that suits Cosmo and his new family.

He would benefit from a calm, consistent environment, predictable routines and someone who understands the importance of recognising a dog's boundaries and helping them feel secure.

We're looking for an adult-only home with someone who has experience of canine behaviour and is prepared to give Cosmo the time, commitment, patience and continued training he needs.

Cosmo has so much to offer, and we want to make sure his next home is a good match for both him and his new family.

Nutella is just one of the many dogs who is still waiting in our shelter for someone to notice her. Time is ticking away and still she waits for her turn to shine.
Born on 21-11-2019 her time in a shelter should be up, but sadly still she waits 🥲
We would love to see her settled in a home befor winter roll in, as Macedonian winters can be brutal.
So, a little about her to see it she catches someones eye enough to offer her a home 🐾🐾🙂
She is a smaller girly with a big personality and much love to give,
She enjoys life at her own pace, does not need endless exercise or huge adventures but still enjoys a lesiurely walk.
Other dogs and also cats are not a problem for her so she could share a home with either if they are respectful.
Ideally any potential home would be calm and loving where she could enjoy the wonders of home life.
Fully vaccinated for rabies and infectious diseases ✅
4D Tested negative for Brucellosis & tick bourne diseases ✅
Microchipped ✅

FROM SKIN AND BONES TO SUNSHINE BOY ☀️ MEET LEO ♌️

This is Leo. 💙
He’s 2.5 years old. A Golden Retriever cross with the biggest heart you’ll ever meet.

But it wasn’t always like this.

Leo was found on the streets. Attacked by everyone. Skin and bones. 🦴
Too scared to trust. Too broken to believe anyone would be kind to him again.

Look at him now.
Happy. Healthy. Standing tall by the river in his blue bandana, but also posing like a pro, showing that brown can be his colour also 🩵🤎
He even has a female best friend at the shelter and they do everything together.
He’s learned that human hands can pet, not hurt. That food comes every day. That he’s safe.

And now he’s ready for the next chapter. His forever home.

Leo’s ideal humans?
Young people who love the outdoors 🏔️ Hiking, running, weekend adventures, river days like this one.
He’s got Golden energy and he wants someone to share it with.
Someone who will throw the ball, go on long walks, and let him be the loyal, goofy, cuddly boy he was always meant to be.

Bonus: Leo is also good with cats! 😻

He’s been through hell and back.
He deserves a home that feels like heaven.

📱 It’s called ‘Your Algorithm’, and it gives you more say in what appears in your Facebook Feed.

As the feature rolls out, look for Your Algorithm in the three-dot (•••) menu on Facebook Reels. If it’s available, you can tell Facebook you’d like to see more content about things like:

🐶 Rescue dogs and adoption
🐾 Animal welfare and rescue
🏡 Dog rehoming and fostering
💙 Supporting animal rescues

Why are we telling you this?

Because every post we share has a purpose.

Sometimes we’re hoping to find a forever home. Sometimes we’re raising money for food or urgent veterinary care. And sometimes we’re simply sharing a little happiness from the dogs you’ve helped rescue. ❤️

We’re a small team of volunteers, and Facebook helps us reach people we could never reach on our own.

The more people who see our dogs, the more chances they have of finding the love and support they deserve.

It won’t guarantee you’ll see every Pawpers post, but it could help Facebook understand that rescue dogs are something you love! 🧡

🤎 SHE MADE SURE HER BABIES HAD A FUTURE. NOW, WHO WILL GIVE HER ONE? 🐾

Three little puppies. Three happy endings.

And one very special mum still waiting for hers. 💔

Meet Amber. 🤎

Near an airport in North Macedonia, while people hurried past on their way to somewhere else, Amber was trying to keep her three tiny puppies alive.

There was no warm bed. No guarantee of another meal. No one to tell her everything would be okay.

Just a devoted mum doing everything she could for her babies.

Thankfully, Amber and her puppies were brought into rescue, where they could finally be safe.

Her puppies grew, flourished and found their forever families. ❤️

But somehow, their mum was left behind.

And she’s still waiting.

The beautiful girl you see in these photographs is Amber today. She’s around five years old, intelligent, loyal and ready to discover what it feels like to be someone’s much-loved companion.

Just a home where she belongs. A family to love. A safe place where she never has to worry about being left behind again.

She gave her puppies the best chance she could. Now we’d love to give Amber hers. 🥹
