‘RARE’

I wish people would f*** o** with this word. It’s surely inaccurate, it’s embarrassing. Its use is simply to provoke a sense of being more valuable.

So when we look at breeding, we ALWAYS have a focus and choose our breeding cats to ensure this is possible, while also avoiding traits we wish not to produce, such as marbling.

So when we see ‘breeders’ claiming the glitter gene is rare, it frustrates me so much. It’s not, it’s extremely common. It also has absolutely no bearing in terms of the breed standard.
Can we also see how many of these breed standard traits are mentioned? NONE!

The other advert is asking for £1500, for kittens with various wild traits… including the clouded rosette pattern.. a pattern neither rare, nor possessed by the kittens. It’s SHOCKING!!

I really hate to post this sort of thing, but people are routinely fooled by these almost fraudulent claims.
I was simply on this dreadful website, trying to resolve further technical issues, editing my own post. You’ll be pleased to note that I don’t use the word ‘rare’, not once! 😇🤣
