🌻🐾 Sunflowers & the dog gang! 🐾🌻

We had a lovely little trip to Fillingham Christmas Trees today to pick our own sunflowers — and obviously the dogs had to come too!

The dogs loved having a mooch around too, taking in all the new smells and generally enjoying being out and about with us.

There are some great sunflower photo props in the fields and food and drink stalls - although it was getting a bit warm for the dogs so we had to head off without stopping to taste test the food or drinks.

And just a little sunflower fact for the doggy parents… 🌻🐶 Sunflowers are non-toxic to dogs, so they’re perfectly safe to be around them.

🐾 Dog-Friendly Apple & Blackberry Crumble

💜 A little homemade treat for my four-legged pals

🍏 Stewed apple & blackberries until soft
🫐 Drained off the fruit juice — (which I kept and made some homemade fruity roll up chews for me!)
🥜 Crushed peanut butter biscuits for the crumble topping

🥳 And voilà… a delicious dog-friendly apple n blackberry crumble!

😋Safe to say, it went down VERY well!

Had the adorable Saffy for daycare yesterday. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with us. She especially enjoyed the little blackberry 'dog friendly' crumble treat I made. She licked that bowl clean 🤣😍🫐

🐾 End of the week at The Old Railway Dog Paddock… 🌿

Another brilliant, if early, session at The Old Railway Dog Paddock! 🐶❤️

The sun was shining (of course!)🥵🌞, the dogs were ready for their morning of sniffing, exploring, running and playing.

Small groups mean they get plenty of space and freedom while still having the opportunity to socialise with familiar friends.

Another successful paddock session! 🌿❤️

How relaxed are the dogs that board with me?

This relaxed!! 🥹💛

When boarding feels just like home... belly rubs, sofa cuddles, and naps in the arms of someone they know and trust.

Because I only offer home boarding to my regular dog paddock clients, they already know me, my home, and their routine. That familiarity makes all the difference, helping them settle quickly and feel completely at ease.

I've had the lovely Daisy boarding and I think this photo says it all. ❤️🐾

Well today's sessions BOTH went ahead and it's looking hopeful for tomorrow's sessions as well 🤞🤞 starting early but actually managing to get both sessions done before it's too hot.

Big shout out to all my fellow dog paddocks, dog walkers and pet professionals... this summer is certainly keeping us on our toes! ☀️🐾

The weather apps seem to change by the hour. I'll think I've got a "normal" day planned, then suddenly it's forecast to be 24°C by 8am! 🤦‍♀️

It's meant early starts, cancelled sessions and pop-in visits. I always feel a bit guilty doing those because the dogs get so excited when they see me, convinced they're off to the paddock... Bless them, they're so confused! ❤️

One thing's for sure... I won't be complaining about cold, wet winter mornings ever again! 😂

Anyway, that's enough of my moaning! Here's a little glimpse of today's early morning paddock session, followed by a pop-in visit with the lovely Bella. 🐶💕

Sharing really is caring... especially when there's a toy involved! 🐾💚

One thing I love seeing during our paddock and daycare sessions is the dogs choosing to share toys and play together. It's a great sign they're feeling relaxed, confident, and enjoying each other's company.

Of course, not every dog likes to share, which is why I carefully match dogs based on their personalities and play styles. Keeping our groups small means everyone can have fun safely, whether they're chasing a ball together, playing tug, or simply taking turns with a favourite toy.

It's lovely to watch those little friendships grow. 🐶💕
