Now we're experiencing exceptionally hot weather it's essential to keep our dogs safe in the sun! Every year, vets treat hundreds of cases of heat stroke in dogs, and unfortunately, some of these cases end tragically.

The main symptoms of heatstroke in dogs are:
-Faster breathing & excessive, heavy panting
-Drooling/foaming
-Discoloured gums
-Weakness/confusion
-Vomiting & Diarrhoea

FOUND DOG - A member of the public has brought in a female greyhound/lurcher crossbreed dog. Brindle colour with semi long coat. Approx 2-4 yrs old. Found in a lay-by on the side of the A46 outside Newark. Has a black collar with no tag. Also has a microchip, but the details have not been registered.
