With the warm sunshine we’ve had recently followed by this morning’s rain, the risk of laminitis is currently very high. Fresh grass can contain increased sugar levels during these weather changes, which can be dangerous for susceptible horses and ponies.

⚠️ Please keep a close eye on:
🐴 Grazing time
🐴 Weight gain
🐴 Heat in feet
🐴 Stiffness or reluctance to move
🐴 Increased digital pulse

Prevention is always better than cure — consider restricted grazing, muzzles, soaked hay, and avoiding turnout during high-risk times if your horse is prone to laminitis.
