Good morning as I’ve done many times before due to having equine flu in the area over the last 20 years I’m back on my regular disinfecting in between yards and changing clothes regularly. Rest assured you’re in safe hands I wouldn’t risk my own horses. Stay safe and thank you to everyone for trusting me.

Please stay vigilant and don’t take any risks vaccinated or not both seem to be getting it I have heard. I am on bio security regularly sterilising my equipment and change of clothes ect. Any yards get it please don’t be ashamed it’s nothing to be ashamed off most importantly share the knowledge so it can stop spreading. Any yards that do get it please let me know I will need to cancel appointments until yard has a clear test result.
I have my own horses to look after and I would hate to ever spread it to my customers or my own horses so let’s be safe thank you 🙏

⚠️ Equine Influenza Update – Please Stay Vigilant ⚠️

We want to make our clients aware of a recent increase in equine influenza cases across the UK. Since the beginning of April, there have been 21 confirmed outbreaks across 15 counties, with a notable rise in cases in the past week alone. Many of these outbreaks have been linked to recent horse movements.

For more information including clinical signs to watch out for and what you can do to help prevent spread, please read the news update on our website:

🚨🚨Notice to all customers now🚨🚨 Now we have had rain after luckily 2/3 week of glorious sun the grass will have been stressed dieing to grow but couldn’t. Now we have had a drop of rain the grass will be doing its thing!! Which is great however now is the time laminitis will be of higher risk.

Remember the signs around the eyes I’ve mentioned to you all and reduce turn out to evenings/night or in some cases stop turn out and if you have turn out with no grass and hay I’d use this until things calm down.

This photo I taken is a typical hedge row which provides natural anti inflammatory supply this to your horses if possible and dried nettles!

Remember prevention is best and by far easier long term but hard work I understand.

I’m always here as you all know every year I am having less and less cases due to my self sharing knowledge to my customers to see the signs and how to treat or prevent. Any concerns please contact I’ll do my best to support.

I have had zero cases this year and very low last year but I’m extremely worried about this weather catching us all out as spring to me has just started due to the lack of rain!

Stay vigilant and don’t take any risks much love.

Kind regards
Chris E.P

Time to write a book and share some knowledge as I feel there is so many distracting methods out there regarding hoof trimming. I’m far from the best and I’m going to be forever learning however my view on horses is they are simple once you break it all down. My way of being with horses and trimming their hooves the passed 20 years has changed significantly and I will always keep on trying to improve. My book writing has started with my journey to where I am now followed by my way of seeing how to improve horses in all aspects of their life whether that’s a foal, working horse, laminitis horse, horse with navicular, Abscess issues, Conformation issues, Health issues so the whole horse and how diet comes together and working closely with the owner, vets, Physios ect. I’ve had the privilege of working with horses worth £1 to £1 million however they all deserve the exact same treatment regardless. I look forward to finishing my book to maybe help others be less confused the answer is right in front of you the individual horse not one works for all.
