Good afternoon wonderful people - as some of you know I have moved my services, I have now also made the decision to only offer emergency or ad hoc walks and sits.

I will also be continuing to step back from posting on social media as much as I used too - please don't hesitate to pop me a message with any queries and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm available

Thanks to everyone that made the business so successful and that continues to support it 🖤🐾

Mindful Monday

A gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the little moments on your dog walk today — the rustle of leaves, the wag of a tail, the rhythm of your footsteps.

Walking mindfully with your dog not only strengthens your bond but also helps reduce stress, improve focus, and lift your mood. Let your pup take the lead sometimes — their curiosity can help you stay present too.

Breathe deeply, walk slowly, and let nature do its thing. Here’s to a calm, happy start to the week!

Feel-Good Friday – Rest and recharge

Calm walks with the gang, good weather and slower steps. We all needed that.

Tip - Schedule a no-rush walk this weekend. Just wander.

Waggy Wednesday – Your dog’s your reminder

Watching the gang greet the world with curiosity reminded me to stay present.

Tip - Try noticing something new on your usual route, like your dog always does.

A little life update…
It’s with a heavy heart that I’ll soon be leaving my current walking area to relocate to beautiful Manorbier. I’m absolutely heartbroken to be saying goodbye to the wonderful dogs (and humans!) I’ve had the joy of walking—thank you for trusting me with your pups, it’s been such a privilege.

But this is also the start of a new chapter!
If you’re based in or near Manorbier, Penally, or Pembroke, I’ll soon be offering dog walking services in these areas (June 9th) and would love to connect with local dog owners looking for experienced, kind and mindful care for their pets.

I will still be offering services such as house sits and overnights all over Pembrokeshire :)

Please spread the word, and keep an eye out for updates!

Feel-Good Friday – Ending on a high
This week brought so many lovely moments. Watching the pups swimming, rolling in the grass, and chasing each other was pure joy.

Write down your favourite dog moment from this week—it’s your reminder to smile.

Waggy Wednesday – Midweek smiles
The pups have had the zoomies and reminded me to laugh and let go. Dogs are pure midweek magic.
Look for one joyful moment on your walk today—and really feel it.

So lovely to have a cooler day today!
The dogs were full of energy, loving the chance to move more freely without the heat slowing them down.

Benefits of cooler walks for dogs:

More comfortable and less risk of overheating

Better stamina and more playfulness

Safer for paws on cooler ground

Great for mental and physical enrichment with longer, sniffy walks

Ways to unwind in cooler weather:

Take your time—enjoy slow, mindful walks

Find a quiet, leafy spot to sit and relax with your dog

Try some gentle training or nose work outdoors

Cooler days bring a whole new kind of calm.

Mindful walks and woodland wonders
There’s nothing quite like a peaceful stroll through the woods—calm, cool, and full of natural beauty. Walking mindfully with the dogs turns an everyday walk into something really special.

Mindful walking tips:

Focus on your breath and footsteps—slow it all down

Let your dog take the lead with sniffing and exploring

Tune into the sounds—birds, leaves, paws on earth

Leave your phone in your pocket and just be

Why woodland walks are great:

Shady and cool—perfect for warm days

Full of interesting scents and textures for dogs

Naturally calming for both body and mind

Take a breath, enjoy the moment, and let nature do its thing.

A gentle reminder on these warm days:
Walking to your dog’s pace is so important—especially in the heat. Slower sniffy strolls are just as valuable (and often more enriching) than fast-paced walks.

Key things to keep in mind:

Avoid walking dogs when temperatures are above 27°C (especially on sunny or humid days)

Always check the pavement—hot ground can burn paws

Bring water and take regular breaks in the shade

Flat-faced breeds, seniors, and pups with thick coats are more at risk in warm weather

If your dog overheats:

Move them to a cool, shaded area immediately

Offer cool (not ice cold) water to drink

Wet their paws, belly, and armpits with cool water

Use a fan if available, and stay calm—stress can make it worse

If symptoms continue (excessive panting, weakness, vomiting), call a vet right away

Walking should be safe and enjoyable—for them and for you!
