We were proud to support this year's Carnival, a much-loved event in the local calendar. Our team joined the celebrations with one of our trucks, a generous supply of sweets, and driver Rich, who fully embraced the occasion in his cowboy hat.

It was fantastic to see the streets filled with hundreds of local families enjoying the day and supporting the community spirit that makes events like this so special.

A big thank you to the carnival organisers for inviting us to take part, to Swizzels for their generous donation of sweets, and to Rich for representing us so brilliantly on the day.

After an incredible 28 years with the business, Group Fleet Engineer Paul Brimelow retires today. Since taking on the role in 1998, Paul has been a constant over the years, demonstrating integrity, loyalty and a calm, dependable approach that so many of us have valued.

To celebrate his retirement, Paul was presented by our Managing Director with a Boughey model truck, vouchers to enjoy time working on his garden, and a retirement badge to mark his time with us. His team also gave him a brilliant build your own Lancaster bomber kit, a really thoughtful gift that will no doubt keep him busy and entertained in the months ahead.

Paul, thank you for your commitment, energy and everything you have given over the years. You will be hugely missed, and we wish you a long, happy and well deserved retirement.

The warm weather calls for something a little different, so yesterday, we brought a treat to the team.

An ice cream truck had been on site, visiting all three of our locations to give everyone a chance to cool off and enjoy a well earned break in the sunshine. It is a small way of saying thank you for the hard work that keeps everything moving behind the scenes.

Great to see so many people taking a few minutes out, catching up with colleagues and making the most of the sunshine. 🍦☀️

Today we are celebrating International Women in Engineering Day and shining a light on Talia, our HGV Technician Apprentice.

She is about to complete her course and has shown exactly what a career in this industry can offer. Speaking about her journey so far, she said “This job has genuinely changed my life… it’s given me so much more confidence and purpose.”

A weekend away from the road for one of our newest trucks.

One of our latest additions to the fleet will be on display at the Kelsall Steam and Vintage Rally on Saturday, courtesy of the team at Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd.

We'll be showing off our refreshed livery!

Last week, colleagues at Wardle put their baking skills to the test in our Brownie Baking Competition 🍫

There were some fantastic entries, plenty of taste-testing, and a lot of debate over who deserved the top spot.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, judged and took part – the standard was incredibly high.

Congratulations to Martin Browne, who was crowned our Best Brownie winner! 🏆
