Unusual day...I don't get that many (or enough ;) ) Cavalier clients, but today groomed 3 of them, all at different homes :) Couple of Blenheims, and a ruby like my Riesen! Rather a nice work day :)

Photos of Riesen just because :) Cavs are such lovely dogs in general, but she's an absolute dream.

Current costs!

Given fuel prices etc and the costs that come with running the van, I'm trying to organise my days better to reduce fuel costs rather than raising prices across the board.

Hence I am trying to book my days in a way that minimises running to and fro, reducing fuel required. It would be a great help if people could let me know when booking whether or not they can be flexible on times, if the day needs to change. If I have booked a specific time for you and it's not convenient to change, don't worry at all as I will absolutely honour the booking if the only concern is area, but flexibility where possible would be a great help if it makes no difference to you. If I ask, it is simply a request, not compulsory :) I know busy lives can make changes difficult. But if you let me know on booking if you're not in a position to be flexible, then I can avoid asking altogether.

I do have some dogs whose current prices based on breed may well have to change due to taking longer than others of their breed (mostly Shih Tzu and Lhasa, due to such variation in size, coat etc), but am trying to avoid a blanket rise, simply want to apply more accurate pricing based on time needed to complete the groom.

Apologies to those I had to reschedule early in the week, my van was in garage Monday for a simple repair that should have been completed in time but unfortunately it had other ideas and decided to really make the poor mechanic work for it!! All sorted now and think I'm pretty much caught up!

Couple of spaces remaining Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

Riesen had a nice introduction to Hoopers today, it's fairly local at Saughall in Chester...she had so much fun! She really enjoys working things out, can see the little cogs turning in her brain as she thinks about what she's doing...fabulous little dog :)

Poor little dog 😭 This is the rescue my amazing little Riesen came from back in January...when dogs come in with a lot of health issues, the vet bills rack up so quickly :(

Sadly the happy news doesn't last long in rescue, even though its what keeps us all going.
We are still short £2528.52 from the bills we posted last week. Then new bills have started to arrive already along with precious little Jenny.
Jenny has a long road ahead bless her. After bathing alot more fur has come away. She arrived Saturday and as of now is the sweetest most gentle but shut down little girl.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated or supports on a regular basis. Its little souls like this you're helping. Please share and support in any way you can so we can clear the bills up to now ♥️❤️💝

A plea to all new/interested customers! Parking.

Please fully read the Messenger autoreply. Most do thankfully, and it gives you the info necessary to ensure your appointment can be carried out. Unfortunately over time I've had multiple people seem to not have read it, especially the bit mentioning needing guaranteed parking directly outside the house that's accessible to a large van and allows me to plug in a power cable.

When I get to these places and can't park to groom the dog, it's not only costing me time and fuel, it's also cost me the much-needed income from that appointment slot.

Just wanted to post to clarify that yes, it is essential to read all the autoreply and make sure all good. I have had a fair few people do so, realise that their property is impractical for the mobile service, and either find other options (which is great), or realise another type of service is more suitable. Thank you to all for checking on these matters, and if in any doubt, please feel free to ask.

Please note: I will be away from 26th Feb to 11th March, so if wanting your dogs groomed before then please book ASAP. The mutts and I will be busy getting rained/snowed on in Scotland, instead of rained/snowed on here!!

Bit of news for those of you who know my dogs!

I sadly lost my two oldies within weeks of each other :'( around Easter last year...well I've been missing having a teeny especially, and I ended up looking at the website of the rescue my Sienna came from, only to see this gorgeous girl on there. Long story short, I couldn't resist, got chatting to the rescue...went through their process, and here she is. Riesen, named after one of my absolute favourite sweets 😁 Shy, but settling in nicely, and has the most gorgeous nature.

Comment from a family member made me smile, "You don't look right without a Cavalier" 🤣 guess it wasn't just me who thought it was time for another :)
