📢 Can our amazing customers help us fill a tombola? 🎟️💛
As many of you know, we love supporting local community events, and we're helping collect donations for the upcoming Rosemount Primary Parent Council Coffee Morning at Hillside Village Hall on Saturday 20th June.
We're looking for donations for the tombola and stalls. Do you have any unwanted gifts, chocolates, bottles, pet goodies, gift sets, vouchers, toys, or anything else that would make a great prize?
🎁 Donations can be dropped off at the shop.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help raise funds for school activities and resources for the children.

We just wanted to let you know that there has been a small price increase on our Montrose Pet Shop dog food range.

For as long as we possibly could, we’ve tried our best to keep our prices as low as we can because we know your dogs are family — and affordable, quality food matters. ❤️

Unfortunately, like everything else at the moment, the cost of ingredients, packaging and transport has continued to rise, and we’ve now had to make a small adjustment to our prices.

This decision genuinely wasn’t made lightly, and we’re so grateful for the continued support, kindness and loyalty you show our little shop every day💕

🐾 DAY TRAINING SPACES 🐾

I have some day training spaces coming up in the next few weeks if you’re looking to get your dog booked in!

What is day training?

- Drop off 8.30-9am / Pick up 4.30-5pm

- During their time here we work on lead walking, recall, proper socialisation (calmer interactions with dogs), settling, crate training and breed fulfilment.

- Your dog doesn’t have to be neutered / spayed to join

- Book an adhoc day or a block to save money (payment plans available)

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Reminder for Dog Owners 🐾☀️

With temperatures set to rise today, please remember that your dog’s safety comes first 💕

Dogs can suffer from heatstroke much more quickly than people realise, and it can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes. If the pavements are too hot for your hand, they’re too hot for your dog’s paws😩

💧 Fresh water available at all times
🌳 Seek shade and keep exercise to a minimum
🚫 Avoid walks during the hottest part of the day
🏡 A day without a walk won’t harm your dog, but heatstroke can

Remember, mental enrichment at home can be just as valuable as physical exercise. Try puzzle toys, sniffing games, training sessions, frozen treats, or a gentle play session indoors instead.

Let’s keep our four-legged friends safe, cool and comfortable during the warm spell. ❤️

“My dog destroys every toy.” 😩

Honestly… we hear this in the shop ALL the time. And most of the time, dogs aren’t being naughty or deliberately destructive.

A lot of dogs simply have a real need to:
🐾 Chew
🐾 Shred
🐾 Search
🐾 Problem solve
🐾 Use their brain and natural instincts

For some dogs, pulling the stuffing out of a teddy is genuinely satisfying and enjoyable. That doesn’t mean you need to keep replacing soft toys every few days though.

A few things that can really help:
🐾 Long lasting chews
🐾 Tougher enrichment toys for everyday use
🐾 Saving fluffy toys for supervised play
🐾 Rotating toys instead of leaving everything out all the time
🐾 Giving your dog other ways to use their brain besides physical exercise alone

That’s one of the reasons we love recommending the Wags Without Walks Club to customers. It’s full of simple games, enrichment ideas and activities that help dogs channel these natural behaviours in more appropriate ways.

Because sometimes the answer isn’t buying yet another indestructible toy… It’s helping dogs meet their needs differently ❤️
