It seems our page has been filled with sadness so much lately and today is no exception. On Tuesday, we received a message from Milo’s owners telling us that they had just said their goodbye’s to their gorgeous boy. Milo was a ripe old age and a true fighter. He was in kidney failure when we looked after him a few weeks ago and his dementia had worsened too. Despite that, he soldiered on and was clearly determined to wait for his owners returning from their holidays to spend his last days with them. He passed away a happy boy surrounded by love. We will miss his audacious character immensely. Rest easy beautiful Milo 💙

Another heartbreaking post unfortunately 😢

Many of our long standing customers will, I’m sure have met Princess Love. We received a message on Sunday telling us that Princess had been very poorly and unfortunately this had resulted in her having to be PTS.

We looked after Princess regularly for many years and her and her brother from another mother Buster were very much a big part of our lives. Princess ruled the roost where ever she went. For such a cute little dog, woe betide any dog who she took a disliking to! If we let her, she would lie in the garden from morning til night and was at her happiest when outdoors. She had a huge personality and we will miss her so much.

A couple of days ago, we received a message from Nala’s owners giving us the saddest news that they had made the most difficult of decisions to have Nala PTS. She had coped so well for a large breed dog of that age, that when she left here a few weeks ago, we never expected this to come so soon after. We looked after Nala for many years and she had become part of our family so receiving this news really is heartbreaking. Buddy’s really was her second home and we have lots of fond memories of this beautiful girl. She will be sorely missed and it is hard to imagine us never seeing her again. Thoughts are of course, with her family at this difficult time 💔

Too hot to walk today so Gert decided she would partake in a bit of monster truck bobbing! Her two favourite things ………… water and Tyler 💦❤️. Little Lola has a poorly paw so she wasn’t allowed to join in unfortunately 😞

When it’s too hot to walk the dogs, there are plenty of other things you can do as a form of enrichment for them and it doesn’t have to involve a paddling pool and a load of monster trucks!

In the early hours of yesterday morning, our beautiful cat Daisy sadly passed away. She laid next to Gert and I and peacefully went to sleep. Her and Gert were the best of friends and Gert is today very subdued and showing signs of missing her. Her passing has left a huge void and it will take some getting used to not having her around. She really was the most adorable cat who was loving, sensitive and gave the best cuddles. Our hearts are breaking and the house doesn’t feel the same without her. RIP gorgeous Daisy, we loved her so much 💔🌼

We have been inundated with enquiries recently but unfortunately, we need to remind people that we are unable to take on any new dogs who haven’t been neutered. We appreciate that Vets put on an age restriction for castrating males, however we can’t make exceptions for dogs under the age of 1 year. Apologies for anyone who has tried to register with us and hasn’t been successful. This is not a decision we have made lightly and we appreciate that not all owners want to have their dog neutered.
