Real socialisation isn’t about letting dogs run up to everything and everyone.
It’s about building neutrality, clarity, and the ability to stay engaged with their handler in any environment.
Too often I’m working with dogs that have been pushed into situations they weren’t ready for, all in the name of “socialisation” and we end up undoing the fallout. Stress, anxiety, frustration, obsession, fear… all completely avoidable with the right guidance from the start.
This is what real progress looks like:

It's really easy when you know how😉
Alfie is a Labrador x Weimaraner who has unfortunately been passed around and has now found his forever loving home, with dedicated owners who are working hard to give Alfie the best quality of life he deserves. Lead pulling, frustration and reactivity are common undesirable behaviours, most of the time created by their owners, unknowingly rewarding and reinforcing the wrong behaviours, something that can be easily addressed when the correct and appropriate guidance is given.
Alfie is now a much happier dog as is his owners. This is what its all about! 🐾🧡
