Over the last few weeks, we have done SO much reflecting on who we are, who we want to be and what our goal is.

Me and Mathew have spoken about adopting a cat for years. Circumstances were never right… until recently.

Our hearts bursted when we were matched with the most incredible little bean who within 3 days, has completely shifted our outlook on life..🤍

Not only that, it has emphasised how important it is to support those that can’t support themselves.

That’s why, at the LindAquatics Foundation, our focus is to rehome and save any and all aquatic animals who need us whilst educating the world on the importance of those that can unfortunately go forgotten…🐠

If you can donate anything to get us closer to our goal, we would be so appreciative.

Our passion in life is to help in anyway we can and I will say, this save feels special…

£1 allows us to save for more food

£10 is our petrol money to travel and save an animal
£50 is a new filter for one of our re homing tanks

Let me ask you something…

How many dogs do you see abandoned daily either on the news or social media..?

What about cats?

I’m guessing the answer is a lot. Unfortunately, the world is a cruel cruel place for these poor souls.

Those that go unnoticed? Aquatic pets.

Thousands of fish and other aquatic animals are abandoned or mistreated every year yet they seem to be forgotten about and not mainstream news.

This is why myself and Mathew created the LindAquatics Foundation.

So far, we have saved 2 goldfish from a home that could no longer give them the love they required - but we know there are SO many more out there that need us.

With even the smallest donation, you can help provide a tank, food, filtration or even travel to go and rescue unwanted and abandoned fish and aquatic animals.

Let’s remember that sadly fishtanks become unloved and abandoned, however the fish in them do too.

🌊🐍 Why Fish & Reptiles Need Rescues Too 🐢✨

When most people think of animal rescue, they picture cats and dogs… but did you know fish, reptiles, and aquatics are some of the most frequently abandoned pets in the UK?

Here’s why ⬇️

🔹 They outgrow their tanks – That “cute little turtle” in a starter tank? It can grow bigger than most people expect. Same with common goldfish or plecos.

🔹 Specialist care is needed – Reptiles need heat, UV lighting, the right diet… fish need the correct water parameters. Without it, they get sick quickly.

🔹 Impulse buys – Bright colours in pet shops make aquatics and reptiles hard to resist. But sadly, many owners aren’t ready for the commitment.

🔹 Lack of safe options – Too often, these pets are dumped in rivers, released into the wild, or simply neglected when families can’t cope anymore.

That’s where we step in 💚.
Our non-profit provides safe rehoming for fish, reptiles, and aquatics in the Scottish Borders. We take them in, care for them, and match them with experienced, responsible homes.
