💚🐾This week’s Thankful Thursday:
“I wanted to write this so many times, but found it difficult to write at the time of Ollies death 😪💔
The compassion, love, support, care and kindness from Anne at Border Pet Crematorium is second to none, my beautiful boy Ollie who almost made his 16th birthday ( just less of a month) he was a huge character, a very important part of our family and loved by all who knew and met him. The hardest decision to make 💔 Ollie had been ill for only a few days, the vets advised ( and we and he knew the time was right) to have Ollie pts 😪💔 I got intouch with Anne at Borders Pet Crematorium and she was amazing, such a lovely caring lady who put us completely at ease. ( Ollie wasn't keen on visiting the vets ) his last year or 2 of his life he'd had to go for an op and had been in for fluids, poked and prodded ect but when Anne explained they have a qualified vet ( Ian) who comes to the BPC, This was just ideal for our Ollie, when we arrived in the cozy farewell room,it was as if we were visiting friends,( nothing clinical or scary for Ollie) ❤️ we were supported by Anne & Ian ( Vet) Ollie sat on my knee watching up at his beloved Eildons ( he'd walked and loved, many times, even when unable to do them all, being carried in his backpack)Anne & Ian talked us through what was going to happen, reassuring us and supporting us, as emotional and heartbreaking 💔as it was, it was also so peaceful, dignified and respectful, Ollie lay in my arms, Anne gave us time to sit with him and say our goodbyes, I laid Ollie in his bed into the lovely basket and covered him up, it was as if he was asleep infront of the fire, I can thank Anne and Ian enough for the love, care and support they showed Ollie, myself and my partner.
When we returned to collecte Ollies ashes, again we were met with such love & kindness, the casket Jed had engraved for Ollies ashes was beautiful, such care and detail, had gone into this special resting place for my boy Olliepops ❤️ it's truly beautiful, we also recieved a bag with beautiful, thoughtful gifts in it, so heartwarming, even down to Forget me not seeds and a poem ❤️
You never want to say goodbye to your beloved, faithful pets 💔😪 but Anne, Ian and Jed made this heartbreaking time a lot easier with the amazing service they provide, we cant thank you enough ❤️”
