Harry wants to share his tips on keeping safe and cool in this warm weather to make sure all his Horsie Pals are safe!
🐴Harry says:
💚Hot weather can be thirsty work, so make sure we have access to clean fresh water 24/7 💦
💚Make sure we have somewhere to shelter from the sun when we are out in the field🌴 If you bring us into the stable during the day to escape the heat, please make sure the stable is well ventilated 🌬
💚Try to avoid riding or exercising us during the hottest times of the day, if you can stick to early morning or evening rides your four legged pal would really appreciate it! 🦄
💚 If the flies and midges are bothersome, fly rugs and masks could help us stay more settled in the field. There is also a great range of fly sprays available too, but make sure you read the label before you spray! 🧴🪰 You could also try our citronella bedding in your stable!
💚 Some of us have very sensitive pink skin, please can you help us prevent burning by applying a strong SPF, preferably a horse specific one or if like me you object to having sun cream on, there are a range of masks with UV protection that will cover our noses! 🌞🧴
💚If you need to take us out and about, keep the trip short, if possible lets go early and please make sure to open as many windows as possible and take lots of water to keep us refreshed and cool! 🚚
Do you have any tips that you would like to share? Harry would love to know what you do to keep your horses and ponies cool and safe!

Hi Team!
A few of you have asked us if we would consider a clothing range so that our customers and friends can be part of team ethos too and we want to know your thoughts before we look too much into it.
Would you wear it?
Would you buy it?
Budget or Quality items?
What items would you like?
Human or Horse items or both?
Any Feedback gratefully received! Good or Bad! Thank you!

What a weekend at the Plant a Fence Chillington Hall Horse Trials! Team ethos was on fire!! 🔥
It was so much fun supporting Brand Ambassadors Molly - MG Eventing, Emily Watts, Mila Wagner, Lucas Poole and Alex Smith and our sponsored riders Tyler Cassells and Mike Owen!
Team ethos rocked in the 100 class on Sunday with Emily taking the Win 🏆 and a 3rd place, Tyler in 4th and Mike in 5th! Mila, in only her 3rd BE event bagged herself a 7th place in the 90! So proud of !
We also provided the bedding for the stables for the Aspen Cooling BE80 Championship, we hope your horses and ponies all slept alright!
Thank you to the Plant a Fence Events and Chillington team for making us feel so welcome and also to sponsored rider Meg, who volunteered as an Official for the weekend!
It was also great catching up with customers old and new and we look forward to catching up again soon!
If you were there competing or spectating we would love to see your photos!!

Ethos - Greener, cleaner feed and bedding was born from the successful bedding and feed company IEC Equine Solutions.
In 2019 we came to realise that the animal feed and bedding industry as a whole, could impact the environment less and still produce top class products at great prices. We have made some massive changes, altered the way we operate and been self critical in everything we do, as a result, in 2020, Ethos was launched.
We are hoping that through our continued research and the changes that we have made and will continue to make, the following aims will be achievable:
•The reduction of our companies carbon footprint wherever we can.
•Passing on this ability to reduce a carbon footprint to our customers and product end users.
•Allowing our customers to demonstrate & celebrate their investment in carbon reduction via our carbon negative products and environmental projects.
•The supply of high quality, cost effective, sustainable & British grown equine bedding and feed in the most environmentally sound way we can.
•Forming sales partnerships with discerning, like minded customers across the UK.
Miscanthus is...……………..
•A carbon negative crop – locking away carbon in it’s root system, it is planted permanently meaning that its carbon capture is permanent.
•Highly disease resistant – doesn’t require spraying and is chemical free.
•Very high carbon capture properties – Every ton of miscanthus grown removes 3 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere.
•Even after it has been harvested, packaged, used, broken down and used as a manure it is still carbon negative by 1 ton per ton produced !
•This “spare” carbon capture can offset you and your customers carbon emissions.
•The forest ecology network states “In comparison to wood shavings from plantation grown trees, miscanthus is over three times more effective at removing carbon from the atmosphere”.
