We have had such handsome beauties this past month in the cattery.

Maine C***s, kittens, retirees, and roly poly fluffsters.

Catnip lick-e-lix and cheese Dreamies take the top spots on our cat-snack-leaderboard.

But for a special cat birthday it had to be a licky-crunchy buffet selection. 🎉

When you're thinking about blackberry picking and Cassie the Labrador decides they are 100% ripe and ready for eating.

She helps herself to a few on each walk... 🫟😁
..and got a few as a special snack at teatime from our blackberry picking box that we filled up. 💜

Well Vinnie certainly made a few drivers chuckle as they drove past.

He proudly carried this enormous stick back to the kennels.

He had to swap it for his beloved football when we reached the door - it wasn't an easy swap 🤦🏼‍♀️😆.

Our newest household member is trying very hard to prevent me from writing up any paperwork this morning.

Meet Henry. Absolutely charming and full of mischief in equal measures.

He's not quite ready to be out and about in the big wide world just yet, but soon will be, and we're sure will pay regular visits to the kennels and cattery.

So you may find yourselves accosted by this little fluff ball in the coming weeks.

We tried proper doggy paddling pools from Lidl.
Two of them in fact.
They both split 😭
So today we bring you.... Disney's Bluey.......
It's cheap and cheerful, so we doubt it will last long, but it's worth a try! Let the fun begin......

Today's activities.....
💦 Dishing out cold towels straight from the freezer for dogs to lie on.
💦 Fans in the kennels for the ones who seem to be struggling more with the heat.
💦 Wetting towels and draping them over any who need a bit extra.
💦 Using the hose to mist them all with water as they walked underneath and/or dipping paws into cold water.
💦 Topping up waters all day long.
💦 And the cats are being sensible, most are stretched out, relaxing on their beds.

Oooff, it's going to be a tough week with these melting temps. Don't get me wrong, we all love the dry weather and warmt...

Oooff, it's going to be a tough week with these melting temps. Don't get me wrong, we all love the dry weather and warmth, but it was warm when we got out of bed nevermind later!

We took all the dogs out for their first walk before 7.45am today, and whilst our field is sunny, our play area and orchard are all in the shade. 🙌🏼

Second walks started at 8.45am, some to the stream, some to the play area, plenty of tree cover, lots of cuddles, lots of downtime outside to wander slowly and chill.

Cat windows are all wide open, waters being checked and topped up regularly, and it's nice and cool in the cattery too. Everyone is doing well!
