We have some real beauties in our cattery this week. 😺
They are such fun and a right bunch of chatterboxes.

Tails a'swinging.. rubbing against our legs.. investigating any open cupboards.. jumping on the worktops.. and always on the look out for treats - cheese Dreamies seem to be the favourite this week.

Back on with the raincoats today! 💦
We've got a few days of this by the looks of things, typical British weather, 28C one day and 16C the next!
My bet is the spaniels that we've got boarding with us will be in the paddling pool regardless! 🤣

services at Truthwall Mill Kennels by the lovely and very talented Hetty.

✂️ Hetty has been studying hard for the last two years alongside working for us, and so we are delighted to offer her space on site to perform fabulous cuts, trims, shampoos and more.

✂️ You don't have to be a Kennels customer, anyone is welcome. There is easy parking and we are just a ten mins drive from Penzance, Praa or Hayle.

Hi everyone, I’m Hetty!

For the last two years, I’ve been training as a dog groomer while working at Truthwall Mill Kennels and Cattery. During this time, I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, which has helped me build the confidence to handle and care for every dog as an individual.

I’m delighted to now have my own grooming salon based at Truthwall Mill and to be turning my passion for dogs into a business of my own.

At Hetty’s Happy Hounds, my aim is to provide a friendly, calm, and professional grooming experience, ensuring every dog leaves looking and feeling their very best.

4pm job of the day... fresh water for the afternoon paddlers, splashers and sploshers. 💦

As you can see it's lovely and shady right across the play area, and today we even have a slight breeze - much nicer.

More water fun this afternoon, thanks to a quick middle-of-Lidl purchase of a doggy paddling pool (and a spare.. just in case).

We had A LOT of fun.

Some dogs - Holly, Bear, Bridie and Paddy 👀 - didn't want to leave!

It's been emptied and cleaned ready for round two tmrw.

Walks started at 6.30am today, and so grateful we did.

Also grateful we have lots of shade! Very tricky for those that don't.

Until 10.30am the lane to our closest stream was also in shade, so almost all of the 25 dogs staying with us today got to go for paddles and swims first thing.

Here are just a few pics, but plenty more went in, not just this bunch! 💦

It was so nice taking the dogs on their evening walkies just now, it's cooled to around 18C and going down another degree or two tonight, so a nice temperature for them all.

All the waters are filled to the brim, and a second bowl put in for all our pairs. Walks will be nice and gentle tomorrow, the play area is nestled among the trees, and the kennels are nice and cool.
