🚨 Hot pavement can burn paws in seconds.
🚨 Dogs can overheat much faster than humans.
🚨 Heatstroke can become life-threatening in minutes.

If the ground is too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

Signs of overheating include:
🐶 Excessive panting
🐶 Drooling
🐶 Weakness or lethargy
🐶 Bright red gums
🐶 Vomiting or collapse

Keep your dog safe:
✅ Walk early in the morning or late in the evening
✅ Bring fresh water
✅ Stick to shaded routes
✅ Avoid hot pavement and artificial turf
✅ Keep walks shorter on very hot days

Your dog depends on you to make safe choices. A missed walk is far better than a trip to the emergency vet. ❤️
