We are finally reopening the diary for a couple of weeks before our summer season really kicks off.

We have very limited availability so if you'd like your dog to holiday at Finchmore this summer please drop us an email or WhatsApp now!

Please note, we absolutely can not guarantee availability until a familiarisation and trial night has taken place, we will endeavour to complete these as soon as possible.

If your dog has stayed with us before, and you're on our books, I encourage you to join our private existing customers group to view our most recent availability calendar, if you haven't already.

Bookings for the summer season are coming in thick and fast, with July and August now being half booked up already.

I will be reopening the diary to new customers in April, for a short period of time, if you're thinking of going away in the summer I implore you to get me your dates sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment, especially those with multiple dogs!

And... relax 😌

We did it! Yesterday Mr Sprout did us proud and strutted his stuff on the green carpet. A 20 year dream in the making.

All the hard work was worth it, to have those two glorious minutes in the ring with my boy.

I'm so lucky to do what I love everyday, being ruled by dogs! Its days like yesterday which re spark the fire, because at the end of the day, everything I do is for the dogs.

Rally has been the most wonderful, welcoming, supportive community. I really can't recommend this fabulous hobby more to all my fellow dog lovers. It really is a sport for everybody and every dog.

We will ride this high for a while, good boy Sprouty 🥹

Tomorrow is the day 💚

Crufts begins tomorrow and my lovely Sprout and I will be competing in the Obedience Ring. We are representing the Midlands Team in the Inter Regional Rally competition at Level 2.

Many of you know I compete in a variety of dog sports with my gang, but being chosen to compete at Crufts has been a privilege.

To my friends, supporters, trainers and team members, thank you for helping us get here. Most importantly thank you my lovely stay-at-home team, without you wonderful, kind people looking after our at home doggies I would not have been able to achieve this.

Whatever the result we'll have given it our absolute best. If you're going to Crufts, enjoy, it's a wonderful place for us dog lovers.

Wishing the best of luck to all my friends competing or showing this week. We do all take the best dogs home.

For now, no more new enquiries 🙅🏻‍♀️

We've had lots of new enquiries recently, many thanks to all those owners who have reached out to start their familiarisation processes.

This does mean for now, we are temporarily closing the books to new customers. Those who have recently messaged or started the familiarisation process will carry on as normal.

We do this multiple times throughout the year to allow our existing customers chance to get their dogs booked in during busy periods.

We will re open to new customers at some point, probably around Easter, dates TBC. I will announce when we will be taking new dogs again on this page. So keep an eye out for updates!

Not a post I ever anticipated having to make, but sadly I feel the need to do so 😥

I will preface this by saying I am talking to the extreme minority here, 99.99% of our customers have respected our unspoken ground rule.

Finchmore Home Boarding is by appointment ONLY. No one is EVER allowed to come on to our property uninvited or unscheduled. This is our HOME where me, my dad, my staff, our dogs and our animals need to feel safe. It is unacceptable and will not, and has never, been tolerated.

More and more people are trying to contact Finchmore by phone call, if those people took 30 seconds to read our website or look at this page they would realise we don't take phone calls. Why no phone calls you ask? Well, for one, signal is awful here, we'd spend half the call saying 'can you hear me?'. Second, if I took every phone call I recieved everyday, I'd never get anything done! We are very busy here, looking after precious dogs, and I'm sorry I don't have time to stand around for half an hour every time I get a call.

WhatsApp or email is the ONLY way you may contact me. Even texts don't go through very well.

We live rurally for a reason, to protect our privacy, and for the dogs to enjoy the land. This does not mean you can find us on Google and wander down the drive because I didn't answer the phone, or took a day or two to respond to an email.

I have removed our phone number from Facebook and Google, with a WhatsApp link instead. The website does already state no phone calls 😑 if I could, I'd remove our address from Google too but it's too useful for new customers (who go through proper channels!) To find us when needed.

So, I reiterate, Finchmore is by appointment only. If you arrive at Finchmore unscheduled you're trespassing. The whole of Finchmore, both houses, driveways and all the land, is private property. Please be respectful of our home.

And thank you to our lovely customers who have always respected this rule, which I never thought I'd have to lay out like this.
