Thank you Cyprus for having me… the weather was glorious for November, so much to see & do! My day trip to snorkel with the sea turtles was amazing. The turtles was so graceful & I was so fortunate to gone day I did as the host family was visiting which meant I had the opportunity to also go to see the Ship wreck 2011 & Adonis waterfalls these wasn’t on the day package…so to see Cyprus like this was great.
I have to say of an evening, I didn’t feel safe there was several experiences that gave me the vibe wasn’t safe… it put me off going out in the evening.
The hotel staff made me feel very welcome to the reception & restaurant… extremely lovely staff & their local shop staff very helpful. I took a European charger to find it’s English plugs so glad there was a shop at the hotel.
I could sit on my bed & hear the sea… so nice to hear that. Even other tourists was so friendly & helpful…
I went to King Avenue Mall… great shopping place… Tomb of kings was really interesting but I couldn’t cope with seeing it all. Visited Paphos castle very small but the harbour had a great atmosphere & had lunch, then headed to artilogical site again couldn’t manage to see all this… but fascinating how much history is on the hotels doorstep.
I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Cyprus as solo traveler because of evening men would follow you had couple experiences where I got sense they was up to no good & one guy I watched him going up to several other women after trying to confront me… after suns gone down Cyprus didn’t feel safe.
When I went to Corfu I got no weird vibe & walk around in the dark no worries….
