I will not be silent when it comes to Animal Welfare. I never have been and never will be. I would never comment on accusations unless I had proof either. All information shared in this post has backing behind it - if it didn’t I wouldn’t share it. I want these dogs voices to be heard.
We do not come into this industry to just do our job, we do it for more than that. The love, care and hard work we provide. The hours of credited courses, the will to learn, our empathetic hearts and most of all our compassion for animals.
I feel very passionate about this topic which is why I want to share it with you all. I’m sure it’s not the last you will hear of it with this company specifically or in general. A lot of things like this happen right under our noses!
Now let’s cut to the nitty gritty. Poppy and Pals Pet Care has been open for years now, when I started (around 3 years ish ago now) I took a lot of inspiration from their platform, services and wanted to build I client base like them. My first encounter was 3/2 ish years ago working a long side the company. I was booked for the bottom end of some cat feeds that they could not cover all dates for. I come in to feed said cat and they was stuck in the kitchen of its own home, litter was like cement and had layers of faeces and urine, food bowls were empty and had rémanence of old food on the edges with mold, water bowls shallow with lots of cat hair in them. Not to mind that the whole kitchen stunk! The poor kitty was so distressed and an elderly cat, it had a lot of faeces attached to its back end from where it was trying to go to the toilet in the litter tray but kept falling in the left overs. My heart was broken and I contacted this client. I swore to myself I would never recommend this company again nor work with them. I’ve stood by that.
Now in recent weeks, the house that is listed as the LTD companies holding address/ home address for many years has come out on auction.

Many people in Fant Lane have been fighting for her dogs welfare. For years. The barking, fighting and neglect that goes on in that house. You can clearly see in the video old faecal matter on the floor, large baby gates to stop dogs from jumping over, leads, broken crates, and dog bowls. I confronted Marie about this. She stated she doesn’t have control over that house, doesn’t own and doesn’t have a key for. This is untrue. She lived in this house, but in recent years decided to leave her dogs there many hours of the day and ‘walk’ other people’s dogs when she never walked or cared for her own.
Now, her dogs and may well also be clients are stuck in the back of vans. One of these vans she keeps her dogs in has been dumped at St Margaret’s Church (As pictured attached a white Mercedes van). She has dumped it there and also fly tipped her rubbish on church property.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of dogs in vans. She has told me herself she is in an ongoing investigation with someone who had ‘physically assaulted her’ but grabbing keys out of her hand to unlock the door of this van in this church car park, in the peak heat. 8 dogs were trapped in this van, barking for help, Some labelled near heat stroke. Some of these dogs weren’t hers but her clients. They leave their own dogs in these vans over night.
Many neighbours, dog lovers, dog walkers and previous clients of hers have come forward with information and reports of what they have reported to dog wardens, animal welfare officials, councilman, and the RSPCA.
As many of you know. Nothing will be done if we don’t shout loud enough. This at this point isn’t about trying to ruin someone’s business or defame them of their ‘Top 3 Dog Walkers in Maidstone Prize’. This is giving these dogs a voice. This is helping the voiceless.
I haven’t even stated a lot of the stuff I have proof of and or seen as a lot of them are under investigation or already public knowledge. The point is. This needs to be everyone’s knowledge. This woman doesn’t deserve to work with animals nor does she deserve to be trusted with her own.
Share this as much as you can. Everywhere. Do this for the dogs. Too many dogs die in neglectful homes. Let’s not let some suffer infront of us.
