Lets talk about summer! ☀
Now that the weather has started to warm up its super important to know how hot is too hot for your dog!
Heat stroke and burnt paws are sadly common at this time of year and are very easily preventable

❗Remember❗ If the pavement is hot on your hand it is too hot for your dog. Asphalt can be 20° (or more) hotter than the air temperature.

Always try walk your dogs in the morning or evening when the temperatures are lower or stay in the shaded areas!
Doggy shoes are also a great way to protect paws👠

Also make sure your dog always has access to water, nothing worse than not being able to have a drink on a hot day!

Its absolutely lovely to have some gorgeous sun but lets enjoy it safely🐾

Lets talk about summer!☀
Now that the weather has started to warm up we see a big increase of grass seeds and all sorts of plant life🍀
It is super important to keep an eye out after a walk with your pup! These seeds can cause a lot of issues as they get stuck in the skin and can cause infections. They are most common in the toes and ears (but can be elsewhere too) and can be very uncomfortable and painful and may require a vet visit.

Some signs to look out for are: Scratching Licking or biting paws Being sensitive about having ears/paws touched

You can help prevent them by: Checking your dog after walks Using a comb to check in-between toes Using doggy shoes
