As Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognise the dedication of our veterinary nurses, Sarah and Kerrie. 💙🐾

Veterinary nurses are at the heart of patient care, providing compassion, clinical expertise, reassurance to worried owners, and endless support to our vets every single day. From monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgery to comforting nervous pets and sharing advice with clients, their role is invaluable.

Thank you, Sarah and Kerrie, for everything you do for our patients, clients, and team, we are so lucky to have you! ✨

🐾 Bandage care matters! 🐾

If your pet has gone home with a bandage, proper care is essential for healing and comfort. Here are a few key things to keep in mind:

✔ Keep it clean and dry, cover with a waterproof layer when in wet weather
✔ Check it daily for slipping, swelling, or any unusual smells
✔ Watch your pet closely, chewing or licking can cause damage and delay healing
✔ Look out for signs of discomfort like limping, swelling above or below the bandage, or changes in behaviour

If you’re ever unsure, don’t wait, get in touch with your vet. A small issue can quickly become a bigger problem if left untreated.

Caring for bandages properly helps ensure a smooth and speedy recovery 🐶🐱
