Look who came in on Friday for his castration? We do the same type of anaesthetic for rabbits as we do for dogs and cats, where they get intubated, so the gas anaesthetic is safely delivered into the lungs. In rabbits it is a bit trickier to place an endotracheal tube as they can’t open their mouths as far as dogs and cats. We aim to give the highest standard of care to all animals no matter what species.

This is Amy, she started with us as a locum in July and as a full member of our team from mid August. Amy is a registered veterinary nurse and is therefore able to do some consultations like a**l glands, nail clips, second vaccinations, librela, cytopoints and solensia injections as well as immunotherapy injections. She also helps with diabetic clinics and weight loss clinics.

Amy is helping us work towards becoming an accredited RCVS practice, a cat friendly practice and a rabbit friendly practice and she is a teaching coach for Abbie for her veterinary care assistant course. Next to all these tasks she does all other nursing tasks like monitoring anaesthetics, care for in patients and helps with dental scale and polishes.

Thank you Amy for all you do for us, you have managed to make my workload a lot lighter, thank you.

This is Nia, who joined us in January 2025, after I approached her about working for us. Nia is a very experienced veterinary nurse and she does a lot of anaesthetic monitoring as well as general nursing for our in patients. She admits patients and makes sure they are comfortable in our kennels and does some nurse clinics. Besides all these tasks she makes sure our controlled drug books are up to date which helped us get a five star rating when we got our premises inspection.

Nia also helps with medication orders from our wholesale and is involved in training Abbie in her VCA role as well as advises on insurance claims. Nia helps maintaining our in house lab and is in charge of our medication fridges.

Thank you Nia for all your help !! We feel grateful for having you on the team.

This is Abbie. She started with us in October 2024 as a very experienced receptionist, but is now training to become a veterinary care assistant. While she didn’t come from a veterinary background, she took to it as a fish to water and managed to make us more efficient on reception.

Abbie can still be found at reception regularly, but is also learning about anaesthesic monitoring, placing drips, calculating drip rates, how to hold animals for nail clips or taking blood.

Abbie is the person to talk to regarding your insurance claims as she liaises with all insurance companies to ensure claims will get settled as soon as possible, which is not always easy with some of these companies. Next to all this she helps with keeping the building spotless and orders all our medication ( together with Sue).

Thank you Abbie for all you do for us. I look forward to seeing you grow into your VCA role and where ever this veterinary journey will take you.

This is Holly, one of our receptionists. Holly started with us in April 2025. Apart from all receptionist duties like answering the phones, booking appointments and taking payments, she is also the person talk to regarding (diet) food for your dogs and cats. Holly has done lots of courses since she started with us, to be able to help you find the right food for your pet. Holly also makes sure all our lab tests and tubes are within date and kept in pristine conditions as well as making sure the lab is always looking spotless.

Thank you Holly for all you do for us, we are very lucky to have you in our team.

This is Raechelle, she is one of our receptionists. She started with us in April 2025.

She has a lot of lab experience from her university degree, so we are so lucky to have her on the team. Apart from answering phone calls, making appointments and all the regular receptionist stuff, she does quite a bit of lab work for us: e.g. running blood and urine test and get samples ready to be checked under the microscope.

Raechelle will also be helping with worm egg testing which we will soon offer in the clinic in stead of sending it to our external lab. She also makes sure our fridge temperatures are measured daily and all medicine we have in stock are in date and kept at the correct temperature.

We are very fortunate to have Raechelle in our team! Thank you Raechelle for all you do for us.

This is Sue, she is one of our veterinary nurses. Sue helped us set up the practice and without her, I may never have started the business.

Sue has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She helps with anaesthetic monitoring during surgeries and all the regular care for animals around the back. She also orders all the medication we need and makes sure we have enough stock, makes sure our lab equipment is in tip top condition so our measurements are accurate and makes sure all surgical instruments and supplies are autoclaved and sterile.

Thank you Sue for all you do for us.
