EASY, ACCURATE, CONVENIENT RESTING RESPIRATORY RATE TRACKING AT HOME
Resting respiratory rate (RRR) is one of the simplest and most reliable ways to spot early progression towards heart failure. This free app helps pet owners accurately record their dog’s RRR at home and has the ability to share key trends with our practice, supporting earlier intervention and better ongoing monitoring.

We recommend the My Pet’s Heart2Heart app to our clients as:

It helps identify early changes in dogs with heart disease
You can track your pet’s resting respiratory rate with a few taps of your smartphone
Simple setup and easy-to-understand results
The app compares RRRs over time
Results can be emailed directly to the practice

And then we are two years old. A moment where we can celebrate, where it feels we have done so much and there is more to come. Loved every minute and appreciate all our clients who have supported us in these two years as well as our amazing staff, without them there wouldn’t be a practice.

Travelling to Europe has changed. If your main residence is in the UK, you will need a health certificate, even if your pet has a European passport. Before this year your pet didn’t need a certificate if it had a valid European pet passport. We refer our clients to Sally Rackham mobile vet for this service.

This little guy had a BOAS surgery at the practice on Monday. In some breeds the soft palate is too long and hangs in front of the wind pipe ( trachea) which makes it harder to breathe. The tonsils tend to be everted too and obstruct the air flow and the nose has narrow openings. All these things obstruct the airflow. In this surgery we correct all of these, so the dog can breathe better again. The soft palate is shortened to the correct length, the tonsils removed and the nostrils opened up.

Pictures from nose before, during and after surgery. He is a happy little boy and will be able to enjoy his life more now.
