Handsome Dusty came to see us today because he wasn't his usual bouncy self, and had been seen shaking his head a lot!
Our fantastic vet Isabel carefully examined his ear under sedation and discovered the culprit, a large grass seed lodged deep inside his ear!👂

🚨Grass seed season is well and truly here, and can cause big problems for our pets such as Dusty, becoming trapped in ears, eyes, paws, noses, and even under the skin.
🌾 Signs to watch out for include:
• Head shaking or ear scratching
• Excessive licking of paws
• Sneezing or nasal discharge
• Swollen, painful areas on the skin

Thankfully, the grass seed was removed successfully, and Dusty is already feeling much more comfortable 💚

We'd also like to give a warm welcome to the lovely Isabel, who has recently joined our veterinary team! 👋
Isabel will be with us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and can also be found at our sister clinic in Streatham Hill on Thursdays. We're delighted to have her on board and know many of you and your pets will get to meet her soon! 🐾

Meet Otto 🐶✨
This gorgeous 12-week-old Australian Labradoodle came in for his second vaccination - and he was SUCH a brave boy! 💉🤍

Otto took everything in his stride, enjoyed plenty of treats, cuddles, and fuss from the team, and left with a wagging tail 🦴🐾

Vaccinations are a really important part of keeping puppies protected while their immune systems are still developing. They help guard against serious infectious diseases and give your pup the best start in life 🌟

🥔 Tayto 🍟

VIP Tayto came to visit us today, and doesn’t this handsome boy sit well for some treats! 🥰

Tayto’s family had noticed him scooting at home, so brought him in to see our friendly team 🐾

Sometimes dogs can scoot when they need their a**l glands emptying, often when they become a bit too full or uncomfortable 😣

Thankfully, Tayto was very brave for his visit and left feeling much more comfortable! 💚

☀️ Ray of Sunshine ☀️

Handsome Ray visited us for his castration procedure recently and was the sweetest little patient from start to finish! 💚

Castration has many benefits, including preventing unwanted litters and helping reduce the risk of certain health and behavioural issues later in life 🐱

Pictured here at his post-op-checkup, still shining, even when sporting his ‘cone of shame’, we are happy to share he has recovered beautifully after his procedure! 🌞✨

As you can see from the video, we think Ray definitely mastered the art of post-op cuddles 🥹
