Remember little Sumo, the puppy who was rescued by the Jai team after suffering a devastating eye injury? 💔🐶

This sweet boy was brought straight to our clinic for treatment, and at first, things weren't looking good. His injured eye was in such bad condition that our vets believed it might need to be surgically removed...

But then, a little miracle happened. ✨

Just a few days later, Sumo's eye began to settle down and showed remarkable improvement. The swelling reduced significantly, and his eye is now looking much better than anyone expected.

We're continuing to monitor him closely, but for now, the news is very positive - and he may get to keep his eye after all. 🥰

Please send some love to little Sumo by sharing this video and following our page for updates on his recovery. ❤️🐾

Today, we’re taking you inside a local classroom right here in Nakhon Nayok in Thailand 🏫

We’re spending time with the wonderful Kru Noon, who is teaching a bright group of 10-12-year-olds.

In today’s lesson, the children are learning all about dog behaviour - exploring how a dog’s personality and needs change as they grow from a young puppy into an adult.

It’s all about helping them understand how a dog’s world evolves through every stage of life. 🐶

It’s truly heartwarming to see how engaged and curious the students are when it comes to responsible animal care.

Teaching empathy and understanding at a young age is so important - it helps build a future where dogs are better understood, better cared for, and communities with free-roaming dogs are safer and happier together 🐕

A big thank you to Kru Noon, one of our amazing team members, for developing and leading this incredible work. ❤️

We joined the Ban Na Sub-District Administrative Organization (SAO) community meeting this week, where local residents gathered to shape their community development plan. We're delighted that animal welfare and community dog sterilisation are part of that vision.

Through our community volunteer representatives, Jai Dog's work was introduced directly to residents across four villages in Ban Na District. Our volunteers spoke about the importance of animal welfare and helped promote the JAI sterilisation programme to people who hadn't yet heard about it.

The meeting also gave us something practical: our volunteers identified several dog owners who hadn't yet been reached by our mobile CNVR team but want help neutering their dogs. That's exactly how this model is meant to work.

Change happens when communities take the lead. A huge thank you to our volunteers and local leaders for standing up for the dogs. 💪❤️

Say hello to our One Health and Community Animal Care Curriculum, an education programme teaching the next generation how to behave responsibly around animals, protect themselves from harm, and play an active role in caring for animals in their communities.

We've designed a dedicated animal care and welfare curriculum, now being introduced across four pilot schools in Nakhon Nayok.

Our focus is primary school students aged 9-12, covering five core topics:

1.Dog Growth and Development
2.Dogs, People and Families
3.Exercise, Enrichment and Daily Care
4.Health and Disease Prevention

Safety and Community Responsibility

The goal is simple: plant the seeds of compassion and responsibility early, so the next generation grows up knowing how to treat animals well and keep their communities safer.

Follow our page to see these kids in action. 🐾

Say hello to our Education and Community Teams - the friendly faces of Jai Dog, out in schools and villages across Nakhon Nayok every day 👋

Their work covers everything from classroom visits and animal welfare education to spreading the word about our sterilisation & vaccination, rescue and adoption programmes 🐾

This June, we're taking you behind the scenes to see them in action, from school classrooms to muddy boots on the ground with community volunteers. 🏫🐕

Hit follow so you don't miss a thing. ✨

After we rescued Wua Noi (Little Cow 🐮) a week ago, we’ve continued to closely monitor his recovery.

He arrived with deep bite wounds after being attacked by other stray dogs - frightened, in pain, and very unwell.

Dr. Oum treated his injuries, and because of the severity of his condition, Little Cow has stayed with us so we can continue caring for him and ensure he heals properly. 🏥

Right now, he is safe, resting, and slowly recovering each day. ❤️‍🩹

We’ll continue to share updates as his journey unfolds - thank you for following along and keeping him in your thoughts. 🐾

This week, Jai Dog was proud to present at the ICAM - the International Companion Animal Management Coalition Conference 2026 alongside Brontë Slote from the University of Glasgow.

👉 A key question running through our work is: how do we know if dog population management programmes are really working?

🐕 Our work in Thailand through our CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme gives us a close, daily view of how humane dog population management can improve the lives of both dogs and the communities they live in - but it also challenges us to look more closely at impact over time.

📊 In our session, we focused on how we can better understand and measure that impact - not only changes in dog populations, but also shifts in community attitudes and perceptions.

Working alongside academic partners helps us reflect on our field experience in a more structured way, and strengthen how we learn and improve our programmes going forward.

We’re grateful to ICAM for the opportunity to share our work, and to Brontë for her valuable contribution to helping us evaluate and better understand our impact, as well as to everyone who attended the session and engaged with the discussion this week.

Arrow - a 6-month-old puppy. Hit by a vehicle. Left unable to walk. 💔

She was found at a temple in Prachinburi in Thailand, unable to put weight on her back leg, quietly enduring pain alone.

For days, she limped around the temple grounds, cared for only by a kind monk doing what he could… until our rescue team arrived. 🙏

We rushed Arrow to our hospital for X-rays and immediate treatment. Her fractured leg was stabilised with a splint, giving her the chance to finally begin healing. 🏥

With time, care, and treatment, Arrow made a remarkable recovery!

She is now back in her community, where kind locals who first found her continue to care for her - safe, active, and living a far better life than before. Her story is a reminder of what’s possible when help arrives in time. 🐾

Every donation helps us rescue and treat injured street animals like Arrow, giving them the care and second chance they deserve.

Please donate if you can and help us continue this vital work 🥰
